It's been a month now since you and Kai decided to be together today marks the first monthsary of your relationship with him. Kai would always wait on the lobby for you bringing your bag and driving your car back to your house. Taemin was really pleased to know that he's good friend and his sister are now in a relationship it's like he can die at ease seeing the both of you but..................... Kai told you to keep their status to the both of you until he manage to claim back their family's reputation you agreed to keep a secret. As we all know secrets can never remain a secret for a very long time one fine day your brother decided to visit the old house where you used to live and he saw you and Kai having dinner inside that house. Your brother isn't the guy  who makes scandals so he waited for you to come back home so he can discuss these matters on you. Sitting on the sofa with the lamp shade on with his legs crossed he stood up and close the door behind you pulling you to sit across him. He break the silence and said

"So how's Kai?"

"Uh he's okay why do you ask oppa?"

"Nothing just curious we haven't talked in a very long while you know..."

"Oh well so oppa I still have work to do tomorrow so I'll go to sleep now. Night"

"I'm not yet done ... Jang Yumi as your brother I don't want you to experience the same life that we had..."

"What are you saying oppa?"

"All I'm saying is that break up with Kai..."

"But why? I thought you're friends with him."

"I am but I'm not taking the risk of you experiencing the same life that we had before.."

"Please oppa ..... just let me do what I want."

"No!! listen to me because I'm your brother!!"

Taemin grab you by the arm and it was tight enough to make you whimper even though you tried  pushing him away he wouldn't let go. He was looking at you with those angry eyes. You never seen your brother like this not after the people made fun of your family. You suddenly understood as to why he is speaking like this maybe he already firgured Kai's current status in life.You made your way to your room as Taemin lock all the doors he also locked you up your room. You can understand his point but when it comes to love and family your quite falling into both parties like they say blood is thicker than water but then what if love gets in the way? That the same night you also found answers to your question about Kai's health condition the doctor emailed you about everything and indeed he has a heart disease. Your phone suddenly ring and it was Kai you pick it up and tried not to cry

"Hey yu gly what's up?"

"H-hhey..."

"Are you crying?"

"Nope of course not I-I... *sniffs* t-ttold y-yyou that I-I...'m not the same Yumi from b-bbef-fore.."

"Tch come on I know you tell me what's the problem after all I'm your boyfriend now."

"I-Iii.. It's really nothing.."

"Hey let's run away Yumi."

"But...."

"Look down."

You glance at your window and there stood Kai with a rope connected to your window. You cried even more as you hang up the phone. You decided to come with Kai but you left a note on your table. You were happy by the first month of your life with him the next month became a bit rought on both of you. Kai would constantly pass out while working and you're not able to look after him since you're working as well. The third month Kai was diagnosed with Cancer on the brain. Day by day it became a struggle hearing his moans it kills you slowly. One night he called you and you immediately went on his side to know what he needs this time.

"Yumi remember back when we were in grade school? "

"What about it?"

" *heaves*"

"Kai stop talking now tell me what you want tomorrow you need to--"

"No there's no tomorrow who knows I might not be able to say this to you tomorrow."

"*glares* Kai"

"We both know it's the truth."

"Well when we were in grade school I always imagined that we have a happy family you and I and our kids living inside the mansion."

"We'll build a happy family then Kai..."

"Yumi... please we both know I might die anytime..."

You can't hold in your tears anymore and you tightly hug Kai crying. He rub your back and his other hand your hair and said

"I hate the fact that I'm good at making you cry."

"Don't say that pabo stop saying these things."

"I'm sorry I can only last for three months I feel like a canned good you know."

That night indeed was really dramatic the next week your brother Taemin barge in the place wherein Kai and you are staying. He is rather calm than angry this time.He sat on the couch as you sat across him and he break his silence.

"So tell me Jang Yumi is this what you wanted? A boyfriend who isn't rich and is now this ill? he's good for nothing a junk in fact."

"Oppa please stop saying that you know how much I love Kai."

" You think you can eat that love when you starve to death and watch him die slowly everyday?"

"Please oppa if you're just here to tell me this things please leave now."

"I'm not leaving unless you come with me."

"Oppa...."

"Take him with you Taemin I'm sorry.... I'm supposed to make her happy right?

But I'm just making her suffer along side with me."

"KAI!!!"

"I'll die peacefully if I don't see your crying face."

"KAIII PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT!"

You immediately run towards your bed room and hug him tight again. Taemin followed you trying to drag you out of the place but you tightly grip on kai he was to frail to even help you. Kai let your hand go instead allowing Taemin to lift you up and bring you back home. A month later Kai passed away and you decided to secretly visit their house since your brother won't allow you to even see his thombstone. You were welcomed by a crying Mrs. Kim and you hug her immediately when she already stopped she told you to come in. You went inside and went to Kai's room there you saw a lot of your pictures plastered over the walls.

"He spent his last days here."

"Oh.. "

"And he told me to give you this if ever you will visit here. He always knew you would come if he's here right now

I know he's happy to see you again."

Mrs. Kim handed a box to you and you opened it and it was a pair of glass shoes and there was a note and it says:

                       Dearest Cinderella ,

I always thought I will be the prince you'll marry and grow old with but....

well I am going to see our creator first

This was supposedly your graduation gift but you left quickly and I never saw you after the graduation

so I kept this and waited for the right time

since I'm already ebbing I thought this is the right time

I will actually put these shoes on you on the day of our wedding.

I know you wanna cry right now

No please don't

However I still want you to wear them I'll be the shoes

that will take you to many beautiful places.

In time who knows I might even find you a replacement for myself...
