Coming Home

Description

Lu Han was a mysterious, exotic young man that grew up feeling nowhere at home. Song Jieun was a young woman that built her life on predictability and stability. She easily falls in love – without grace but without fear either – with this mysterious photographer that built a world of his own, but she should have known better than to assume that there would be a place for her in the world she might never have existed in to begin with.

I wish you found home in me

At some point, you have to settle down. At some point, you have to lock some doors for the sake of walking through that one door that will determine your whole life. At some point, you have to come home.

Home is where the heart feels at ease. I feel most at ease when I’m lost in a sea of people who are all on their way going somewhere. Holding onto my luggage with both hands feels like home. Glancing outside the window while seeing those airplanes set off feels like home. Stepping inside the airplane feels like home. But the destination never does.

I was not supposed to be writing again, but I got influenced to write something and this idea was lingering in my head on that moment. Quite honestly, this is inspired by a real story that one of my professors experienced, and I wanted to put this into a story. Also, this has my own doubts and thoughts about a place called home, a matter I struggle with quite a lot, because what is a home exactly? I have two Cantonese parents but I am born and raised in a land so far away from it. What does that make me? Why do I never feel really at home anywhere? Or maybe home was never meant to be so big to begin with. Who knows.

I have always liked the idea of Jieun and Sandeul together, and this time I wanted to put her with Luhan. Honestly, this was mainly because I did not want to use an OC this time - starting afresh means leaving certain habits behind - and I quite like Jieun. Also, they seemed to resemble each other in some way, so why not try to put the two together. This will certainly not be a very long story, but I am as unpredictable as the weather, so yeah. Hopefully you will enjoy this, in my opinion, meaningful story.

Chapter 1: Awwww this is cute!

Yeah I can relate in a way. I was born in a different country but grew up in a different one. And I dont really feel 'home' in either of them.

Chapter 2: it's beautiful story.

and for the question, true happiness comes in the form of your self. as long as you enjoy everything you do and being grateful for what God gave you, I'm sure you'll be happy...
haha cliche...

Chapter 2: the bills. Haha im sorry, I can't help but think of that when you ask the question. I mean true happiness comes in many different forms. Even though I'm a dreamer, I still pretty much believe in reality. That is without the ability to pay the bills, to support yourself and your family, you would not enjoy life thoroughly. That is to say, money is not everything. But money DOES help you live a decent life.

I know this is a story, a fiction where your imagination takes its tolls. But still, they are human after all, who need to be realistic in order to survive this material life.

This is a really good story! Thank you so much!
