Full Speed. Adrenaline. Excitement
That’s what a motorcycle meant for J.hyo. He loved the way his blood was pumping in his veins when the wheels were barely touching the concrete. He loved the way the wind always fought against him, trying to slow him down. All he ever wished for was to race with people who had the same passion as him. For that sole purpose he moved to a city that was well-known for street competitions but what was awaiting him was rather disappointing.
Bets. Hater. Money
That’s what a motorcycle meant for the people who were racing there. They were crazier than J.hyo had imagined and, most importantly, better than he ever dreamt to be.
“What the hell was that for?” J.hyo went to the byke that stopped near the racetrack. He stopped just a few inches away from the guy, hoping to intimidate him. “It was just a race! Why did you have to get so fired up?!”
A snort left the other’s person’s mouth. He took off the helmet, letting the long hair cascade from underneath it, revealing that it was a she not a he. Just as J.hyo, she was wearing a mask over .
“Y-You’re a girl?” J.hyo stuttered.
“So what?” she asked as she stood up, getting close to J.hyo, like he did. “It’s your first race here, isn’t it?” she inquired but didn’t wait for an answer because she already knew it. “Things around here aren’t as you dreamt of, newbie. These races have only one rule: don’t fall. Other than that, it doesn’t matter what happens. If you get pushed or something else it’s your problem, princess.”
“Yah!” J.hyo barked, taking one more step towards the girl. Their noses were almost touching due to the proximity. Both had equal intense, determined gazed that were practically fighting with each other.
“Yah what?” the girl grinned behind her mask while doing the same thing J.hyo did: take a step forward, closing the little space that was left between them.
Foreword
►Jang Yoomi: the younger twin. After her parents divorced, she started living only with her mother and their dog. She is scared of letting people know her true nature because she is sure she wouldn’t be liked by them for her hard-to-satisfy-or-understand self. Because of that she is hard to approach. She gets people pissed off really easy. The only time when she has no problem showing her true character is at night, during the motorcycle races when she hides behind a mask and uses the name of Minnie.
►Jang Yoori: the older twin. Even though she was born first, she is the one who acts like she is younger, always relying on her sister. She is bolder and more cheerful than Yoomi. She lives with their father. Despite their parents’ argument, she and her sister get along really well. They are impossible to separate.
►Jung Jonghyo | J.hyo: His love is his byke. Other than it, he’s not really interested in anything else. His parents died when he was young. Having no other choice, he lived with his grandfather. When he finally gathered some money, he moved in with Eden.
►Park Jaedyn | Eden: J.hyo’s friend. He moves into the town with him. He also has a passion for ridding but it’s nothing compared to J.hyo’s. He likes creating trouble.
►Park Gunwoo | RASA : He is one of Yoomi's few friends, but at night, when she wears her mask. Despite being all noisy with his friends, he can barely talk to the girl he likes. Almost all the time he ends up embarrassing himself.
►Bang Yongguk: he is Yoomi’s crush. He is a quiet sunbae who is always busy with something. For Yoomi this means spending more time with him because she offers to help him.
►Woo Jiho | Zico: he is Yoomi and Yoori’s cousin. Even though he gets along with both twins, he likes Yoomi more. She is crazier. Zico also likes betting. Whenever Minnie is in the night race, he puts all his money on her.
►Yu Barom: he is Eden’s friend. He is the one who offers him and J.hyo a place to live.
►Kwon Eul: he is one of the best riders. He gets along with Minnie.
►As for the rest of LC9: Jun and King are Yoomi’s classmates. AO and Yoori are dance partners.
►Other bands that will have an important role: EXO, T-ara, D-Unit.
The city was well known for the races that took place at night. There were special racetracks set for danger lovers. But wherever is competition, there are also money. People like to bet on their favorite rider. A part of the money goes to the winner so that’s one reason for people to join the race. Others just dream of the day when they will win over the top 3 favorite riders: Kai, Eul and Minnie.
