The day Sungyeol became Hokage wasn't a glorious day.

 

Despite all the good things that happened- - starting from the peace treaty between the villages that guaranteed peace and calm for at least the next decade, the prosperity of the Leaf village, the happiness of the ninjas and the people of all the villages, to Woohyun becoming an Anbu, yet being directed to protect the Hokage's life,

 

 

(Woohyun huffed, "Anbu, my . I'm a baby- sitter."

 

"The Hokage's baby-sitter", Sungjong tried to console him.

 

Woohyun watched as Sungyeol tripped and stayed with his face and body glued to the ground until Sunggyu helped him. He turned to his left, crossing his arms on his chest. Sungjong gave him a sympathetic smile.

 

"Good luck to me", Woohyun breathed out.)

 

 

Sunggyu becoming Sungyeol's personal medical ninja,

 

 

(Woohyun narrowed his eyes at Sungyeol, "No."

 

Sungyeol narrowed too. "You have nothing to do with this."

 

"I do", Woohyun countered. He was fuming, "He's my lover, thus he's mine and I'm not letting him waste his life curing an idiot like you!"

 

Sungyeol looked affronted and hurt for the first two minutes. "Y-y-you're so mean."

 

Then he started crying in front of everyone. Suddenly, pairs of glaring eyes and ready-to-be-thrown-kunai were pointing at the Hokage's own bodyguard/baby-sitter. Sunggyu was giving him a very disapproving look too.

 

"Please", Woohyun palmed his face, "tell me this is a nightmare.")

 

 

and Sungjong becoming a Chunin- -in short, the villagers rewarded Sungyeol and his friends for the bravery and the ninja-kicking-asses-and-throwing-kunai skills that they'd demostrated during the dangerous missions and, especially for their super-bravery and their ninja-expert-in-jutsu-and-kicking-asses-and-throwing-kunai skills during the civil war (we ain't going to talk about the civil war because that's irrelevant. The story isn't about the civil war. All you need to know is that Sungyeol, with the help of the other ninjas, defeated the old Jungsoo and his comrades. Now, everyone is happy.

 

Well, they were happy. At least, they were before Sungyeol's announcement.)

They were all expecting Sungyeol to be a great Kage like his father was.

He proved to be qualified to be their leader- -when he wasn't stupid enough to fall to nothing and smash his face on the ground, he was a reliable, strong ninja (Okay. Maybe there shoud be some examples of his heroic missions here because telling few words about the civil war isn't enough and really. Sungyeol, the idiot ninja of the Leaf village being fantastic and charming and incredible like his father was? That must be hard to imagine. Let alone, to believe it. 

 

Or maybe, we don't need any example.

 

Sungyeol must be the best of all the Leaf ninjas, or he wouldn't have been proclaimed Hokage and the people of his village wouldn't be happy about him being the one to save their butts.

 

So, no. Examples aren't needed after all).

 

 

Too bad that the Hokage said that he was in love with a Nukenin and worse, that he wanted said Nukenin to be his 'wife'.
