Chapter 1: The Accident

While sitting at a stoplight, the ear piece under my helmet emitted my ringtone. I took my phone out from my pocket and the screen read (Incoming call from Karen). I hit the call button and shoved the phone back in my jacket pocket. Just then the light changed and I accelerated my motorcycle.

“Karen, what’s up?”

“Alex, come home now! There’s something important I have to tell you!”

“What’s so important that you nee-“ I heard the sound of tires screeching, I felt a sickening crash and flew through the air.

“Alex? Alex, are you there? Alex?”

Her voice was the last thing I heard before I was engulfed in darkness as everything started to fade away.
