Eun Joo tightened her grip around her pen. She’s trying hard not to think of him she doesn’t want something to happen at the mini mart. If her demons will come, there will be a huge problem. Kris grinned and planted his hands by the counter. “Don’t worry. I will block your thoughts.”

He leaned back and started walking along the aisles of the mini mart as Eun Joo keeps eye on him. A frown creased on her forehead watching his every move, suspicious about him coming all of a sudden. “What do you want, Kris?” she softly asked.

Kris picked a can of soda and stared at it. He turned his head towards Eun Joo. “Are you alright now? I see, your demon healed you.” He looked mainly at the parts where he saw he she got cuts and bruises but they are all gone not even a scar is left. “I’m sorry I can’t save you even though I was there.”

That ticked her off. “I don’t need your help.” Eun Joo’s eyes suddenly shot wide open. She can’t breathe, even if she tries, there isn’t even a small air entering her lungs. She could still see Kris nonchalantly scanning some drinks. She sharply gasped and held her chest, crumpling her shirt. Her chest is tightening but and she could hear her heart throbbing fast inside her chest like it’s going to pop.

A small smirk formed Kris’ lips as he turned and faced the almost dying Eun Joo. “You call those your demons? I can kill you now without them even knowing.”

Her eyes rounded and she made another sharp gasp. She could feel drying, her lungs needed air. She kneeled at the floor, tilting her head up. *Am I going to die already?* When she raised her head up, to her right is Kris crouching beside her. He tilted her chin and stared into her eyes. “J-Just kill me…” Eun Joo breathlessly mumbled.

“If you do what I say, you will live the rest of your life happy without being a demon. Eun Joo, make a contract with me.” He offered. “I’ll give you time to decide. Always think what I told you.” Kris touched her cheek with the back of his hand and she can breathe again.

Eun Joo’s eyes widened. Kris is gone. She’s standing in front of the cash register as if nothing happened. Two ahjummas with their kids are grocery shopping inside and there is no sign of Kris anywhere. Eun Joo placed her hand on her forehead, staring blankly at the floor.

Kris is leaning against the wall of the mart, turning his head a little to Eun Joo taking a glimpse of her. He swallowed hard and left the mini mart.
