My rant about aff.

Foreword

hello there.

this is just my rant-- you know, things that i don't like when it comes to aff. 

no, i don't say i hate this website. in fact, i really love it. so freaking much, you can't tell.

i just don't like some of the fanfics here and yes, that's what i'm going to rant about. 

 

((pardon my grammar, well sorry this isn't a fanfic so.... yeah))

Chapter 8: I used to go "comments are welcome :)" that sort of thing at the end of chapters at times but I realised that I would seem desperate too hahaha and I'm a pretty confident writer (I think) so I stopped lol ^^ I found myself nodding away for some reason

Chapter 8: I have an ongoing story right now which I update quite regularly. Every time I post an update; after days of editing and proofreading and finally be satisfied by it (and honestly, I would always say that, "this is the best one so far. I hope someone comments on this. Interact with me, guys!") I am very very upset for the lack of comments. Sure I do gain subscribers with each update, two at the most, but the lack of feedback still left me being insecure. Is the story okay so far? Is the pace too fast or too slow? Do they get confused with some turns of event?

But somehow this lack of responses drives me to do better in the upcoming updates. At least that's a plus side.

Like what you said, "it (the threat) makes you seem desperate." And I don't want to be like that, lol. I've stumbled upon those threats in some fics; I ended up leaving them. So that's why I stopped 'begging' (though I tried to do it subtly in my A/Ns) for readers to leave comments. And yes, I believe that someday I'll have someone commenting on this fic of mine. A comment that /really/ comments on the story; not just, "this was really good, author-nim. Thank you for sharing."

Chapter 1: Plagiarism is not cool though even in the fanfic world. Think for a second: You worked so hard on your story, you're happy with how it turned out but wait: Someone has the same story as you. The same characters, same plot, same writing, everything you worked your off for was just copied by a completely random person. I'd be disappointed if that happened to me and ask for the story to at least be removed.

I don't put copyrights on my fics, but I do disallow text selection. Just in case matters. It doesn't matter if the stories good or bad, plagiarism is not cool period.

Chapter 7: this part.. i agree.. sometimes it kinda gives pressure to the writer.. well yeah.. writers have their own life too..

cLiches and mary sues and annoying as hell fonts and pictures and improper comments and everything else lol no pls just stoP I BEG OF THE PEOPLE.

Chapter 6: Arranged marriage is one of the rather popular story concept.
Also the male protagonist being a "kingka" that falls for the nerdy girl of the school.
