AUTHOR'S POV

 

Donghae tucked Juli's hair behind her ear as she looked down at what she was doing. She carefully took the tip and swirled it around in intricate patterns. She finally finished off with a swirl...AND VOILA, her first decorated cake was done!

 

"Oppa!! How did you think I did? Call Ryewook oppa so he can see!!" She clapped her hand and marveled at her masterpiece.

 

Donghae had been hanging around Juli for the past few days since she and Kyuhyun had taken a break. Everyone in the shop was pretty suprised when Juli had introduced this strange man that wasn't their good friend.

 

"Guys, I want you to meet Donghae oppa!" All the guys in the cafe looked at each other confused and then they all turned to look at Kyuhyun who had a fake smile plastered on his face. "He is a family friend, so I hope you all treat him kindly!" She grabbed a hold of Donghae's arm to show him around the cafe.

 

The others got back to what they were doing but Henry had pulled Kyuhyun into the back storage room without anyone noticing. "...hyung." The younger one looked concern for his good friend. "She can date whoever she wants." Kyuhyun fought back tears. He had told Henry that, yes, they were dating, and no, no one knew and finally yes, they did "break up". He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a sigh. 

 

"You need to talk to her..." Henry put his hand on his hyung's shoulder. "If you love her, get her back." He patted his hyung's shoulder and left out the storage room leaving Kyuhyun standing there wiping his tears. "I will try" he told himself.

 

Ryeowook stood over the cake Juli had just decorated. The letters were sloppy and the design smeared in some places. "Hoqpy BiRtnbay" was what it said when it should have said "Happy Birthday". He tilted his head, and rubbed the nape of his neck turning to the eager Juli. "...Daebak!" He said giving a thumbs up watching her skip away to show everyone else.      Kyuhyun sat outside on a stool next to the counter sipping on his coffee when Juli came skipping out showing everyone a picture of her cake. She had showed everyone in the room...even customers. Except for Kyuhyun. She came near him but she put her phone down and walked away quietly. Before doing so, she bowed politely and made her way past him. He felt a pang in his heart. He wanted to scream and say sorry but he couldn't find the words to do so.     The little Mochi sat down right next to his hyung. "Did you say anything yet?"      He shook his head and rubbed his temples.     "Hyung, you can't keep this act up. You should tell her soon. Forget your stupid pride and say sorry."     "ARE YOU SAYING IT'S MY FAULT?!" Kyuhyun exploded causing the customers and his friends to suddenly stare at him. He could feel his cheeks burning. "Sorry everyone. Just...resume what you were doing.'' He hide his face between his hands and sighed.     "I can tell Juli misses you."     "How? She can barely look me in the eye. She avoids me as well, and when she can't, she stays quiet. Besides when the others ask her if she's doing good. She says I'm fine." He lifted his face and crossed his arms.     "She can't look at you cause she's afraid of seeing no spark when she looks into your eyes. She avoids you cause she knows if she doesn't, she won't be able to stop herself from hugging you. When she can't avoid you, she doesn't say anything because she's afraid if she says she wants you back, you will reject her. Finally, the most important lesson is...when a girl says I'm fine. She's not. Ever."      Kyuhyun stared at his little dongsaeng for a while. "You know..for someone so young, you sure don't act it" he grinned as he little dongsaeng gave a smile of victory.     I will apologize soon...when Donghae finally leaves her side. I will do it.
