*the next morning at school*
Gikwang stay all night at Jiyeon's house. After he ate breakfast there, He went back to his house to take a shower and change into uniform. He got back to Jiyeon to fetch her for school. "oppa! Did you sleep well last night? By the way, I'm so thankful that you come yesterday. I don't know what will happen to me if you're not there." Jiyeon said to Gikwang but he doesn't reply and just staring at something. She followed the stare of his boyfriend and she was shocked when she saw IU went out of a red sports car with a tall guy. "take care of yourself, I mean they should take care of themselves from you. Jieun-ah don't be so naughty at school." Donghae teases Jieun/IU. "oppa! I'm a good girl now remember! And please don't call me Jieun at public. I'm not used with my real name so just call me IU. Okay?" she said as her brother went closer to her to pinch her cheeks. "okay! Miss IU! So I have to go now! Take care." before Donghae walked off she kissed IU's head. Jiyeon realize that the grip of Gikwang in her hands are so tight
"oppa! If you don't let in of my hand. I'm sure it'll die right now!" Jiyeon said sarcastically. "oh! I'm sorry!" Gikwang loosen the grip but not letting go. "oppa? Do you know him?" Jiyeon pointed Donghae. "No. Maybe her boyfriend? Let's ask her, don't you think?" Gikwang then pulled Jiyeon closer and went to IU. "annyeong!" Jiyeon greeted IU. "Good Morning!” IU greeted back. "who's that guy? The one with the red car." Jiyeon said directly. The latter was surprised by the question. "uhhmm... you'll know him when time comes! So? See you later!" IU went inside and left the two with puzzled brain.
Wooyoung's POV
I saw IU entered our classroom, well...I saw her earlier with a guy in a car and I clearly saw the kissed in the head but I'm not a jealous type of a person but maybe my eyes are deceiving me. "Hey beautiful! Who's that guy earlier?" I
asked her softly. She look stunned for a moment then she dragged me at the corner of the classroom. "don't tell me, you saw what he did earlier?" her voice is so small. I nod then she looked me in the eye. "you're jealous?" she asked. I just shook my head and asked "so? Who's that guy?" she smiled widely then went closer for a whisper. "If I tell you about him, don't tell anyone okay? Not even Suzy I want her to be surprise when he met him." "He's my b-" she was cut when Gikwang approaches us. "the class is starting! Better get back on your seats." he eyed me with sharp eyes then went back to his seat. "I'll tell you and Suzy later bout it at lunch break." IU looked apologetic. "okay! By the way? Where's Suzy? I never saw her earlier." I asked her but then she gave me an I-don't-know look and she goes at her seat. Our professor, Mr. Choi was teaching in front of the class when a guy swung the door opened with Suzy. Our professor gazed at them. "both of you, why are you late?" Mr. Choi yelled. One of the students near him went closely to him and whisper something. Mr. Choi was shocked of what he heard. "I'm so sorry for the rudeness but why does my student is late." He said apologetically. "I'm the one to blame, I said that we need to help the pregnant woman to take her at the hospital earlier. We needed to wait for the husband of her before the Doctor let us out." The guy said. "oh! Okay. You may come in now Suzy." Mr. Choi smile sheepishly at the guy before he closes the door. Suzy went to her seat, beside IU and they're talking about something. I'm still curious about the guy earlier, if Gikwang didn't approaches us, I already know who was that guy and not suspect something bad is going on.
Jiyeon's POV
Gikwang oppa invited me at their seat at the school cafeteria. His friends are there already. (arrangement of seats; left side: Suzy, IU & Wooyoung. Right side: Me & Gikwang.) they are busy talking with each other. "Excuse me! I'll buy some juice. Suzy, what do like?" IU stands up and wait for her friend's answer. "yah! Is Suzy the only person in here? Why didn't you asked us?" Gikwang whined. IU gives him a wicked smile then she frowns "because I like Suzy!" IU and her giggled together. I saw Gikwang frown and rolled his eyes. "Oppa. Do you want something to drink?" I ask him. "I want strawberry milk shake." he said and gave me a smile. "Wait for me IU. I'll come with you." I nearly shouted at her. I catch up with her and I started to pant. "how's your relationship with Gikwang?" she asked out of the blue. "we're good!" I answered briefly. "Gikwang told me about the acting thing-y about your ex-boyfriend but I don't believe him. You two look sweet with each other, like you're place will be full of red ants if you don't stop being so sweet." I can seek truth in her voice and my girl instinct said that she was not that into Gikwang already. "It's true but I confess to him already and truthfully, he still doesn't answered my confession. I can't give up now, right IU?" I said and she nodded politely. We're back to our seat and the three, (Suzy, Wooyoung and Gikwang) are discussing something. "What's the fuss about?" IU interrupted them and suddenly her friend, Suzy pulled her back on her seat. Gikwang oppa pat the chair beside him to make me sit. "you rascal! Who's that guy that these two saying they saw earlier? They said that the guy kissed you on the head." Suzy eyed the two boys, I think, assuring the information. IU gazed at them too then let out a big sigh. "I'm sorry guys but I can tell you right now at the school. I promised to tell all of you about it when time comes. So please can you wait a little longer?" she gave Wooyoung a puppy eyes and the guy can't resist it and just nodded his head. "Why? Is it private? Family? Boyfriend? Husband? Fiancé or what!" Suzy yelled at her. "Yes! I think it's a little bit private cause it's part of my life I actually didn't know." IU's eyes are teary and Wooyoung patted her back. "okay! But I want to be the first one to know about him." IU nodded and gave an assuring smile to all of us.
IU's POV
I was waiting for the bus to arrive. It's already 8:30. We have to do the science project at my classmate's house. We finally finished it but I didn't realize that night is getting darker outside. A man was smoking besides me was, I think, maybe I'm paranoid but I saw him following me when I went out of my classmate's house all the way through here. "hi miss! Do you like having fun?" the guy approaches me. "No!" I answered and stand still. "Well... I guess you're going to have fun with me tonight whether you like it or not." the man grab my wrist and pulling me somewhere. I tried to shout but he put his hand on my mouth while holding me against him. He dragged me at a dark street. I bite his hand so hard and stepped on his foot. Now it's my chance to get some help. I'm running my way out of the dark street when I bumped into a guy. "oh! IU. We're so worried about you. Where have you been? Wait! what happened? Why are you pale?" It's Donghae oppa. He looks so worried about me. "Help me! There's some guy following me. I tried to dragged me somewhere but I think I escape from him now" I said as I place my head on my brother's chest. "come here my beautiful, feisty lady!" oh no! There he is again. "I think you can't escape him." my brother said playfully. How can he joke about this, when his sister is in danger. "you want her? Come and get her?" his posture change, like some, I don't know, martial artist. The man reach out for a knife in his pocket and dashed straight to Donghae oppa. My eyes are wide open to see what will happen. It happened so fast, he disarmed the man quickly just by a simple kick. The man was frustrated, I think cause he tries to get the knife back but Donghae oppa didn't give him a chance and knocked him out by giving him a punch on the belly. "next time, know your enemies!" Donghae smirks at the kneeling man. He's so cool. I wonder where did he learn that? "oh my! How did you learn that?" I tried to copy his moves but it looks silly on me. "Well, I studied here before I studied at U.S" he stated clearly. He started to rub my reddened wrist. "Are you okay? Good thing I passed by here accidentally or else, something bad happened to you now." Donghae oppa walked me to his car, not to far away fro where we are. He focus on his driving while I want to doze off. I feel so sleepy. "YOU! And YOU! FROM NOW ON, DON'T LET MY GRANDDAUGHTER SLIP FROM YOUR EYES. IF EVER, SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO HER. You know what will happen." I wake up and surprised that I was on my bedroom. Fei unnie was beside me, she's asleep. As far as I remember, I was dozing off at Oppa's car. Did he carry me up here? I went out to have some food. I haven't eaten any. "where are you going?" harabeoji was sitting on the couch at the living room with two muscular men. "meokgo sipeoyo! (I want to eat)." "Tell the maids to prepare your dinner." he said then face again the two men angrily. "harabeoji? Who are they?" I asked him. "they will be your own bodyguards Jieun! I don't want to repeat what happened earlier so they will be keeping you safe." No! This is not happening. " but Harabeoji?-" "No buts! I'm sorry but this is for your own safety okay?" I don't have any choices but to obey. "okay! But I have a something to request. Please don't let them inside my school and whenever we're in public don't let them go so close to me. I want to live like a normal girl." I pleased harabeoji. He approved to my decisions but If ever, I tried to escape from them. They will be guarding me 24/7. I went to our dining area and wait for my done to be served.
