Foreword

[Prologue]

She was running for a good 10 minutes. Even though she has a slight asthma problem, she ran as fast as she could. She was quite the athletic type anyways and she was running away from the school bullies. She's never been the type to do anything bad, in fact, she's known as a "goodie-goodie." But she's finally had enough. She was tired of the same thing .. so she decided to run. A stubborn, independent, hard-working girl .. and  Jihyun is her name. She’s never really had time to rely on others since she was always alone.

The reason of her nickname was because when she was living in the states .. all her classmates called her Ame because she liked the rain. She LOVED it. Well, and also her favorite band, Lunafly. The rain seemed to soothe her and calm her in any means necessary. It was her secret remedy. When the rain falls down she feels replenished and brand new, like all her old horrible memories just disappeared into thin air.

Her brother, Jude and her were born in the States and stayed there until Ame turned 9. Then her family decided to move to Japan. So her mother could see her family again before she became very ill.

At the time she was 10, and her brother was 11, her brother and her mother left to go to Korea for her brother’s special schooling. However, later her mother became ill. So she’s staying in a special hospital. She stayed with her father in Japan, since he needed to stay for certain investors and meetings that involved creating another type of business.

Ame’s family is wealthy because of her dad. He’s a CEO business man. He travels very often and barely sees his family.

 Ame is neglected by her parents because her mother is sincerely ill and her father is taking care of business. She hasn’t seen her mother or brother since she was 10. She feels alone and afraid most of the time. She’s always on her own. She’s never had a friend.

She’s currently a sophomore at the age of 15 years old. She has changed a lot since she was young. She’s smart, pretty, talented, athletic, kind, shy, and afraid. When she was little .. she really showed her female side. But ever since her brother and mother left, she became tomboy ish.

All because of bullies that constantly threw things at her and got things stuck in her hair, she cut it short. And other bullies threw away her contacts so she’s forced to wear glasses. Most people would mistake her for a boy now.

Her father doesn’t seem to pay attention to her though.. the family’s attention automatically goes to her brother, who just debuted as a Korean idol and is successful. Ame always wanted to impress her father. She knew it wouldn’t be easy .. but then why did she keep trying?

No matter what she did .. it didn’t seem good enough for him. Everything was about her brother. Of course, she loved her brother and they were fairly close, but for once in her life .. she wanted her parents or family say something nice about her.  Lately, no one notices her.

“Oi! Stop running! You can’t run away forever!!” The Japanese school bullies shouted after her. She was way ahead and the boys came to a stop.

“Ame Kun! You wont get away!” The other bully shouted.

“IIE!!!~” She screamed back at them. She ran as hard as she could all the way home. Away from them. She ran inside her house and shut the door. She quickly locked it and leaned up against the door, panting heavily. She took many deep breaths in, as much as she could

“Welcome home Ma’am~” Her servant, Ayumi said with a warm smile. “Your father wants to see you.” She made gestures with her arms towards the living room. He was waiting for her in there.

Ame took in one last deep breath and fixed her hair a bit, wiping the sweat off of her forehead. Then, she fixed her school uniform. She wanted to be presentable in front of her father, who she barely sees.

She followed Ayumi into the living room and found her father sitting on the living room couch with tons of business papers scattered onto the small coffee table in front of him. He looked like he was concentrating sincerely hard on those papers.

“Otoosan..?” Ame dared to interrupt her father’s trail of thoughts. He looked up at her.

“Oh. Jihyun-ah.. Sit.” He took of his glasses and patted the spot next to him on the couch. He made room for her.

“Otoosan .. nan desu ka?” She cocked her head to the right, reflexively.

“Aigoo. Jihyun-ah. I have some good news. You want to see Oniisan and Okaasan .. right?”

“Mm.” She nodded slightly.

“Well .. we are moving to Korea! So pack your bags because we are leaving in two days!~ And you will go to your brother’s boarding school too!”

“Eh?!?” She seemed surprised. Was she hearing her father correctly? She’s been waiting for this moment for a very long time. She couldn’t wait to move to Korea. “Really??”

“Haha. Hai! Besides .. it’s getting pretty boring here.. don’t you think?”

Ame scowled at him. Her father can be really childish and her life’s been HELL here. How could he just decide to leave because Japan seems to be boring…?

“Aigoo! Your father’s a genius no?” He smiled widely and clasped his hands together in admiration towards himself. He is very self-centered and narcissist.

-2 Days Later-

“Welcome to Korea!~” Her father stretched his arms widely and smiled. They finally reached the home of her father in Seoul, South Korea. “Ah. Home sweet home. Oh! Kurako Kun! Will you please take Jihyun-ah to her new campus and help her settle in?”

“Uh .. Hai.”

She kept looking around. It was sort of like Japan in a way, but it also seemed like a place where she can become a whole different person. She could start her life all over again until she graduates and goes to college. She couldn’t wait to see her brother and her new school. The elite school in Korea where the wealthy, musically inclined, arrogant,  spoiled brats went to follow their musical dreams. Or to do something as a hobby because rich people can be .. well .. you know.

Since she’s incredibly smart, she’s going on scholarship. All because of her incredible and outstanding grades that she has received. She was always ranked number 1 in her class in Japan. She’s actually very musically gifted as well, but she wouldn’t dare compete against her brother. She knows how mad her brother would get and her family mainly focuses on him anyways so what’s the point?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Will you be alright here Madam?” The chauffer, Kurako asked as they entered her new dorm room and set all her luggage down. She looked around and smiled. There were three other beds in the room, which meant she was sharing a room with three other girls ..
“Mm. I’ll be fine. Arigatou gozaimaa Kurako Kun!~” I bowed formally to him. He bowed back.
“Hai. Dou itashimae.” He headed back down to retrieve his car and then go and accompany her father.
She threw herself onto her new bed and looked around. It was huge! It was almost like a condo but in a dorm-like appeal. Great .. she’ll have to share a room with three other girls who were probably already close to each other, and she’ll be an outcast for a while. She thought it was suspicious though, that all the posters on the wall were of girls, games, and animes..
*Maybe my roommates are girls like me!~* She thought to herself.
She hoped that her roommates would be girls that she could automatically get along will. Or they were athletic and tom boyish too. She finds it more interesting to have a girl pal that acted like her. Although, she’s never actually had a friend before .. but she wouldn’t mind having girl pals like herself. She just hoped all of them will accept her as she is.
She heard the front door knob turning and voices coming from the hall way. This is it. The moment where she will meet her first future new friends at this school. She was nervous and anxious all at once. She immediately stood up, preparing to greet them. This would be a memory she would cherish for the rest of her life and-
“Annyeonghase-“ She stopped mid-sentence and stared at the three mysterious figures in disbelief. Huh? What are they doing here?? She’s a girl! Why would there be boys in her dorm .. and why do they look strangely familiar?
“Oh! You must be our new roommate .. umm .. Ame san?” The one with longer hair said and smiled. She still stood there and stared at the three .. and then a light bulb went off in her head.
Her jaw hypothetically dropped down to the floor. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing .. How was it even possible? It explains why the room is decorated in a guy-like fashion .. but what are these guys doing at this type of school? Her idols: Lunafly were standing right in front of her. And they think she is a boy ..
