“Don’t go.” Chanyeol pleaded.

Kyungsoo simply smiled and shook his head. “It was just a matter of time before they found out.”

“We can send someone else. You don’t have to go.” Chanyeol said again.

“Yes, I do. I love him, hyung.” He stood at the door with his hand on the knob facing away. He couldn’t bear to look at Chanyeol. If he did, he knew he’d lose all the confidence he had built up. “Will you be there?” he asked in a hushed voice.

Chanyeol bit the inside of his cheek. He didn’t want to agree because agreeing meant that he was allowing his friend to walk right into his death, but he knew Kyungsoo had made up his mind. Chanyeol was losing his friend and yet he couldn’t find it in himself to stop him further.

“It’s the least I can do.”
