It’s already been 6 months. Or at least that’s what the calendar that’s on the side table tells me. To me, it feels like it’s been 6 years. 6 years since I’ve heard your laughter, since I’ve held your large, warm hands, since I’ve felt your warm lips upon mines. I’ve been coming here everyday, hoping that you would wake up while I’m here. Am I asking for too much?

The beeping on the monitor always reminds me that your heart is beating, that you’re alive. Then why I can’t see your smile or hear you call my name? It’s already been 6 months since that incident. The one incident that placed you in a coma.

“Yah! Bang Yong Guk! I’m going to tell you a story. By the time I’m done telling you this story, you better wake up or else I’m going to leave you forever! Got it?” I say to him.

“Well, here it goes. I’ll tell you how we first met. It was a hot and sunny day, kind of like today’s weather,” I describe to him.

“It was this kind of day where our heartbreaking love story started…” I thought to myself, not being able to tell Yong Guk, scared that he might leave me.
