NINA’S POV:

February 14; 4:00 A.M.

“It’s Valentine’s Day, it’s finally here”

I said while I walked up to the railings of our dorm room feeling the early breeze of Seoul.

‘Bianca is still sleeping, well everybody is still sleeping it’s still too early, but I can’t sleep anymore.’

“It was also Valentine’s day when we became friends…

But that day was also the same day when he first tried to confess to her”

FLASHBACK

It’s the same day every year it’s valentine’s again. The day where people give their hearts to their loved ones but I guess today will just be the same thing I’ll just keep it still until it’s time but I guess that time won’t come. He’s already about to confess his long unrequited love for unnie.

I left the scene before the conversation even started. I already know what was about to happen he’s finally going to confess his hidden feelings. I was a witness to his unrequited love for her so I just wish him the best and happiness, that person whom I love so much who is also the reason why I am here in SM as a trainee in the first place.

I was walking around the SM building while thinking of him when I suddenly bumped into someone.

“aigoo”

“Sorry miss did I hurt you?”

“No, I’m sorry I wasn’t looking on where I was going”

I said while trying to stand up because of the fall but when I raised my head it was a sight that I would never want to see in my whole lifetime.

The guy in front of me who would usually be the one giving a shoulder to cry on the one who stays strong for everyone’s sake is torn between emotions in front of me. The one who gave me happiness without him even knowing

“So I’ll be going now sorry again”

Key said while still keeping his head bowed

“Wait”

I said not even knowing what I was doing but I couldn’t let him be like that in sadness, grief and pain my body acted on its own. I grabbed his wrist and stopped him.

One person who is hurting is enough you can’t be strong for everyone

“yes? Do you need something?”

He said while averting his gaze to something else to avoid eye contact

“…”

“Uhm miss but if you don’t mind I still have dance exercises so if you’ll excuse me”

“Exercise” I blurted out

“pardon?” he said with a confused look plastered on his face. He must be thinking I’m some kind of weirdo just randomly talking to him, but  I do need to tell him, for him to at least know that there is someone who is going to take care of him even if I’m just in the shadows.

“Exercise, you give your body an exercise but the heart is a muscle too it also needs a little exercise once in a while to remove the stress in it”

I said after summing all the courage in my body

That’s when he laughed at me

“For a kid you know a lot of things” he said finally facing me

Looking into his brown orbs makes me feel like wanting to drown in those eyes forever

 “Well you don’t have to be old to know. Adults think they know everything but people needs to be reminded about certain things to every once in a while”

I retorted while looking away so he can’t see my blushing face.

When I suddenly felt arms wrapped around me

“Thank you”

He said ‘thank you’ omo I’m blushing like crazy and his embracing me but then I remembered why were talking here in the first place

so she rejected him or he didn’t manage to say it

“You’re welcome; everyone needs to cry too you know”

He just buried his face in the crook of my neck and continued sobbing peacefully ‘I hope your tears will be able to wash away all your pain’

“Thank you for being here with me”

He said while smiling at me

‘I’ll always be here even if everyone turns there back on you because I’ll always be here to watch over you’

“You’ll always be welcome to cry on me but I also wish you to be happy”

I said while smiling with him

END OF FLASHBACK

“That  day, he didn’t manage to tell her . Now it’s my turn I’ll finally confess to him”

I said while looking at the chocolates I’m about to give him with determination in my eyes

“Oppa I’m finally going to tell you. I know that you still love her and I want you to be happy, but I think it’s already time to let you know.”
