I didn't expect that you would fall for me

I wiped the sweat off of my forehead with my sleeve. I had finally finished restocking the supplies at the ice rink I worked at. I usually
organized the skates but since we were short on workers, I had double work. I stepped back and admired what I had accomplished. No
one could have done a better job.
"Yah Jia!" I jumped when I heard my name being yelled out.
"Wea?!" I shouted back, stepping out of the small shack.
A middle aged man came up to the doorway. "The kids are lining up for their skates. I need you to go and take over Eric's shift."
"Ah wae? My shift is about to end in an hour."
The man was overlooking something on a clipboard that he had brought with him. "Well that's something you'll have to deal with. Besides, you
get paied more."
I groaned and rolled my eyes. "I'm too tired to think about money Mr. Ma."
"Yeah well, I'm not." Mr. Ma continued looking at his board and ticking things off with a pen.
"Araso. Araso." I knew nothing else was going to get me out of this situation so I just agreed with it.
"Good!" Mr. Ma smiled and started walking to go check on other workers. "Oh Jia!"
I glanced back at Mr. Ma. "Wae?"
"There's a new guy who's coming today. His gonna take over Shin's shift at the snack bar. So you show him around and introduce him to
people."
I took a deep breath and let it out. Great. More stuff to do. "Araso. I'll show him around."
"Kumowo!" Mr. Ma shouted before running back to where ever he came from.
I sighed and stared at the back of his head as he ran. I wish lasers could shoot out from my eyes. I shut the door of the shack and locked it. This
was pretty much the only job that was available in town and the only one that I was good at. I couldn't really do anything about it. But still. You can
get pretty tired after seeing shoe after shoe and skate after skate. As well as box after box. I was exhausted every time I came home. But like I
said, it was the only job around. I walked over to the skate room and opened the door. There was a very long line of screaming children yelling for their skates plus the flustered parents trying to calm them down. I sighed again and looked at the ground. I had a very sad life.
"Okay everyone please calm down. I'll get your your skates." I raised my hands in front of the uncontrollable crowd. No one was listening to me. I
took a deep breath and exhaled real slowly. "YAH!!"
The crowd suddenly became quiet and looked at me. That was better. "Thank you. Everyone, please hand me your tickets one by one and your
skates will come." I smiled sweetly at them and stuck my hand out.
"Omma she's scary." I heard a little voice say.
I shot a look at wherever it came from. "Only when things get out of hand." I smiled again and gathered the tickets into a small pile as they were placed
in front of me. I handed everyone their skates though I had to dodge the children that were complaining about how their skates smelled like cheese.
It was going to be a very long day.
