The Army of Snark follows the same merit and ranking system as the United States Army, and it's very easy to follow. Below are the merits needed per rank, as well as definitions of rank and what it allows within the little community we've formed for ourselves.

Merits may be earned by demonstrating outstanding and extraordinary citizenship within the Army and AFF itself. More criteria on merits will be decided as deemed fit by the heads of the Army.

Private, no insignia - A brand new member, with no proof of subscription or merit. Merits until next rank: 2

Private, insignia - A new member, with proof of subscription and/or merit. Merits until next rank: 4

Private First-Class - A newer member, with proof of subscription and merit. Merits until next rank: 6

Corporal - A fairly new member, with proof of subscription and merit. Merits until next rank: 8

Specialist - A fairly new member with proof of subscription, merit and talent within any particular area. Merits until next Spacialist rank:

Sergeant- A member with proof of subscription, merit and dedication. Merits until next rank: 10

Staff Sergeant - A member with proof of subscription to at least 2 works of drakeissocool, merit and dedication. Merits until next rank: 12

Sergeant First-Class - A member with proof of subscription to at least 3 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, dedication and shows awesome y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army). Merits until next rank: 14

Master Sergeant - A member with proof of subscription to at least 3 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, dedication, shows awesome y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army) and has been involved in at least one communal affair (such as the poster shop, advice coloumn, etc.). Merits until next rank: 16

First Sergeant - A member with proof of subscription to at least 3 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, dedication, shows awesome y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least one communal affair (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), loyalty and at least 3 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army). Merits until next rank: 18

Sergeant Major - A member with proof of subscription to at least 4 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, dedication, shows awesome y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least one communal affair (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), loyalty, at least 4 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army.) Merits until next rank: 0 (Officers are chosen by the heads of the Army)

Command Sergeant Major - A member with proof of subscription to at least 4 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, dedication, shows awesome y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least one communal affair (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), loyalty, at least 4 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army.) Merits until next rank: 0 (Officers are chosen by the heads of the Army)

Command Sergeant Major of the Army - A member with proof of subscription of at least 5 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, extreme dedication, shows something beyond extreme y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least two communal affairs (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), deep loyalty, at least 5 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army), and deemed cool (by Drake). Merits until next rank: 0 (Officers are chosen by the heads of the Army)

Second Lieutenant - A member with proof of subscription of at least 5 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, extreme dedication, shows something beyond extreme y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least two communal affairs (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), deep loyalty, at least 5 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army), and deemed cool (by Drake). Merits until next rank: 20

First Lieutenant - A member with proof of subscription of at least 5 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, extreme dedication, shows something beyond extreme y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least two communal affairs (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), deep loyalty, at least 5 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army), cool (as deemed by Drake himself), and knows who Tosunnie and Rensunnie are. Merits until next rank: 22

Captain - A member with proof of subscription of at least 5 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, extreme dedication, shows something beyond extreme y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least two communal affairs (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), deep loyalty, at least 5 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army), cool (as deemed by Drake himself), knows who Tosunnie and Rensunnie are, and can name Drake's very first KPop bias. Merits until next rank: 24

Major - A member with proof of subscription of at least 5 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, extreme dedication, shows something beyond extreme y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least two communal affairs (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), deep loyalty, at least 5 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army), cool (as deemed by Drake himself), knows who Tosunnie and Rensunnie are, can name Drake's very first KPop bias, and is ready and willing to buy an Army of Snark t-shirt. Merits until next rank: 26

Lieutenant Colonel - A member with proof of subscription of at least 5 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, extreme dedication, shows something beyond extreme y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least two communal affairs (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), deep loyalty, at least 5 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army), cool (as deemed by Drake himself), knows who Tosunnie and Rensunnie are, can name Drake's very first KPop bias, is ready and willing to buy an Army of Snark t-shirt, and knows where Drake keeps his mochis before he eats them all. Merits until next rank: 28

Colonel - A member with proof of subscription of at least 5 works of drakeissocoolxx, merit, extreme dedication, shows something beyond extreme y class (as deemed by the heads of the Army), has been involved in at least two communal affairs (such as the poster shop, advice column, etc.), deep loyalty, at least 5 weeks as an official member (as deemed by the heads of the Army), cool (as deemed by Drake himself), knows who Tosunnie and Rensunnie are, can name Drake's very first KPop bias, is ready and willing to buy an Army of Snark t-shirt, knows where Drake keeps his mochis before he eats them all, and knows his favourite type of Japanese snack. Merits until next rank: 30

4-Star General - Chosen by only the heads of the Army after a great period of thinking and deciding.
