"K. E. ZERO. TWO. FOUR. K. E. ZERO. TWO. FOUR." Chanyeol repeated to himself after reading his boarding pass. He couldn't help but gape at the screen as he scanned through each flight number for the fifth time.

Chanyeol bit his lower lip.

It couldn't have been true.

He had to be living a lie right now.

Flight KE024. DELAYED.

Chanyeol groaned unceremoniously, bending his knees while tilting his head back, looking to the skies as an airplane flew over.

Before he had the chance to cry out, a thud hit his back, and a slight oof escaped his lips as he leaned forward.

When he looked straight again, he saw his group snicker at him while walking toward their perspective gate without him.

"But how are you guys not complaining about this?" Chanyeol cried out, clearly lamenting the fact that their flight to San Francisco would be delayed for another 3 hours.

No one had look backed, but Baekhyun rose his arm.

"It's called the internet." Baekhyun piped up, shaking his phone.

Chanyeol heaved, dragging his feet to follow them.

"I hate waiting." Sehun huffed out, hitting his head against the wall behind him while scrolling through his phone mindlessly. An hour hadn't even passed by.

Chanyeol opened his mouth, but Sehun knocked on his shoulder, knowing exactly what the older boy was going to say.

"I told you." Chanyeol said anyway after a beat, and Sehun knocked on him again.

"Do you guys want to hear a story?" Chanyeol asked, looking around.

"No." Baekhyun blankly said, and no one else had looked up from their phones either.

Chanyeol cleared his throat anyway.

"Once upon a time, there lived a prince--" Chanyeol started, with an even deeper voice than his normal one.

Sehun looked up at Chanyeol's ridiculousness.

"And a princess."  He raised his eyes to look at Sehun and grinned widely.

Sehun rose a brow in confusion at this, not knowing where Chanyeol could be going with this.

"The two lived in separate kingdoms, but had secretly fallen in love." Chanyeol waved his arms around randomly, and Sehun slightly furrowed his eyebrows, but paid attention anyway.

"The problem is, then, that an ocean had separated them."

Sehun yawned and closed his eyes.

"But the prince had a plan. And the princess knew it was brilliant, too, for you see, the prince had a dragon friend. And the dragon knew...another mystical creature that could help bring him to the princess. However, this wouldn't have solved everything completely."

"Why not?" Sehun asked, to Chanyeol's surprise.

The latter had a contemplative look, before responding. "Because he needed to...gather some companions first."

Sehun followed up on it immediately. "But why would the prince need companions if he just wanted to see the princess?"

"Because the prince would get lonely on the trip and the dragon didn't want his ear to fall off."

"But--"

Junmyeon cleared his throat. "Just let him finish his story, Sehun."

Sehun huffed, and Chanyeol snickered.

"So, to get his companions..."

"...the princess's hometown." Chanyeol paused to yawn. He looked over to see if anyone was still paying attention. Only Sehun seemed to be slightly reacting to it.

"Don't worry guys, I'm getting to the end soon. There's only two more acts to go through." Chanyeol nodded confidently.

Everyone groaned and glared at Junmyeon for urging Chanyeol to finish.

Sehun laughed.

Chanyeol was about to start on the final act, when a woman cleared over the speaker.

"May I have your attention please. We are now starting the boarding process for Flight KE024 for San Francisco." As the flight attendant continued her spiel, everyone around the group was already picking up their things and shuffling toward her.

The group stood up and slowly made their way to the growing line, too tired to even care about rushing anymore.

Sehun stood up

Chanyeol grinned, putting his head against Sehun's shoulder as they dragged their feet to the line.

When they stopped, Chanyeol put his arm around Sehun's neck for a side hug, but upon seeing the line the taller boy re-positioned himself to be more comfortable.  Sehun slightly tensed as Chanyeol placed his head against his shoulder, but laughed when he saw his long legs were still in the way. "So, what happens next?" Sehun said softly, lifting a hand to pat Chanyeol's back.

Chanyeol pleasantly sighed as Sehun's hands were circling on his back. "So the prince and the princess--"

"Lived happily ever after, I get it. Can you shut up now?" Jongin whined, his eyes still closed. He scratched the back of his head and yawned.

Sehun and Chanyeol looked to Jongin before looking back at each other and laughed.
