Vowels:

It is pronounced 'Ah'

As in Apple, Appa

Example words:

아빠 (appa/father)

아니요 (aniyo/no)

안녕하세요 (annyeonghaseyo/Hello)

 

It is pronounced Eo

As in Surgeon, Yeoja.

Example words:

없어 (eobseo)

여자 (Yeoja)

거짓말 (Keotjimal) (Lies)

 

It is pronounced Oh.

As in Rope, Oppa.

Example words:

오빠 (Oppa)

오뉴 (Onew)

 

It is pronounced OO.

As in Hoops, Juwon, Junior

Example words:

주원 (Juwon/Joowon)

훈 (Hun/ Hoon)
