“I made you some tea,” he said softly.

You looked up, surprised. “Really?” You were in your usual corner spot. You put down your book, getting ready to stand up. You had probably been sitting there for about two hours now, just reading.

“No, just stay there. I’ll bring it you,” he said, carrying a mug shaped like a huge book with a bookmark as the handle. He set it down next to you.

“Oh, thanks,” you said and picked up the steaming cup to take a sip.

“Careful. It’s hot,” he said, watching you drink it.

You blew over the surface. “What kind of tea is it?”

“Earl Grey.”

“My favorite.”

“Lucky guess.”

“Thanks.”

“My pleasure. What are you reading today?”

“Norwegian Wood.”

“Great choice.”

You smiled and picked up your book again.

“Enjoy,” he said, walking away.
