"Wait, you're Kim Hyoyeon?" I said confused.

 

"Haha, heard of me already?" She said with cockiness in her voice.

 

"No no, your my roommate," I said clearing out the confusion.

 

Hyoyeon had a look of shock on her face.

 

"Roommate? I don't have a roommate," She doubted.

 

"Well you do now," I grunted as I stood up off the bathroom floor and dusted my uniform off. Now knowing who exactly my roommate was, I couldn't help but wonder where she had been since I got here.

 

"Where have you been for the past day and a bit? You haven't been in our dorm or in class this morning," I asked in confusion.

 

     I wasn't really liking her cockiness, but right away she didn't seem like the rest of the people in this school. She seemed, somewhat friendly, in a really weird sort of way. At least she was kind enough to save me from almost dying. Either way, I still had to share a room with her for the rest of the school year.

 

"Uhm, don't worry about that right now JiEun, since we are rooming together I should probably let you know that every so often I might leave for a few days, the reason for that isn't important right now, but I will tell you if things start to escalate," She said quietly as if she thought other people were listening.

 

Oh great, first of all I find out that I've got three girls on my back for talking to Baekhyun, and now I have a freaky roommate that disappears every so often and won't tell me why. Things just can't get any better!

 

     I walked over to my bag on the sink counter that I had left there before almost being beaten to my death. I grabbed it and slung it over my shoulder. Hyoyeon walked over beside me and put her hand on my shoulder in a sort of motherly way that made me cringe. It was a bit too early in our friendship for stuff like that.

 

"Well new roommate, we should probably get to know each other since we'll be living together for the rest of the school year, why don't you sit with me at lunch in the cafeteria. I'll give you a few pointers about this school," She said with more cockiness in her voice again.

 

She's got a point, we will be rooming together for the rest of the year, so I might as well get to know her. She does seem to know quite a bit about the students in the school and knows her way around.

 

"Uh ok, if you insist," I said hesitantly. Honestly I didn't care how she acted, I needed a friend and this was one step closer to getting one.

 

"Ok perfect, what's your next block? I'll meet you outside your classroom and we can walk to the cafeteria," She asked.

 

I quickly took out my schedule and glanced at my next block,

 

"Science, room 307," I read out loud.

 

     Hyoyeon nodded and I started to walk out of the washroom and back to class. I stopped right before I left and turned around to face Hyoyeon again.

 

"Why don't you come back to class? You are in my math class after all," I asked.

 

"Um well, I was just doing something that I need to finish, so I won't be coming to class today, but don't worry I'll be sure to meet you outside of your science class before lunch," She assured.

 

     I nodded and walked back to class. As soon as I entered the three girls gave me nasty glares again. My face was still mildly puffy from crying, but it wasn't bad enough that people could notice. The rest of math was extremely boring.

     I wondered through the halls and finally found what I was looking for, Room 307, Science class. I walked in to the classroom and was immediately caught by someone yelling my name from the back of the classroom.

 

"JiEun! Come sit over here!" Someone yelled.

 

     I looked over and saw Baekhyun waving me over to sit with him. I smiled and walked over to him. The science classroom was set up so that you were sitting in pairs at a small table with chemistry sets set up on each one. Baekhyun was sitting by himself at a table, but had a guy with blonde hair and a girl who had light brown hair in ringlets sitting behind him who looked like they were friends with Baekhyun. I happily sat down beside him and took my books out.

 

"JiEun! So glad your in one of my classes, I'd like you to meet my two friends," He smiled and gestured to the girl and the boy behind him.

 

"Jung Jessica, nice to meet you JiEun, Baek has told us all about you," The girl smiled and held out her hand for me to shake it. She was very polite and her uniform wasn't messy at all. I reached out to shake her hand back and smiled.

 

"Daehyun, call me Daehyun," The other boy held his hand out to shake mine. He also was very polite, and his uniform was worn properly, unlike the majority of the students at this school.

 

Jessica and Daehyun were very friendly and immediately accepted me into there group.

 

"So JiEun, how's your first day of school so far? Meet any new friends?" Baekhyun asked.

 

     I thought back to earlier when I was trapped in the washroom with Hyuna and her girls and sighed. They told me to stay away from Baekhyun, I wonder why, he seemed like such a nice person and we got along quite well, then again Hyoyeon did say they get jealous really easily so I guess she was referring to Baekhyun. I decided not to tell Baekhyun about that particular incident.

 

"Oh it's been fine so far, I have a roommate, her name is Kim Hyoyeon," I chirped.

 

All three of them looked at me with wide eyes and Jessica gasped. 

 

"Your friends with her?" Daehyun asked and furrowed his brows.

 

      I didn't really know what to say, I obviously said something I wasn't suppose to say, but was being friends with Hyoyeon bad?

 

"Um, well I guess you could say something like that, we are roommates so I guess we will have to get to know each other," I said without thinking.

 

"I wish you good luck with her, she has a bit of a bad reputation around the school," Jessica laughed.

 

     I didn't really ask any questions about Hyoyeon's reputation because it wasn't really any of my business, but the curiosity was killing me. She was my roommate and if she wanted to tell me something like that, she would tell me when she's ready.

 

"CLASS IN SESSION!" A deep voice yelled. I looked up to see a tall lengthy man run in front of the class. His flailed his arms a bit while he ran up there. He had curly ginger coloured hair and a pair of glasses on, but they didn't have any lenses in them which made it look a bit silly. His face didn't match his voice and it scared me when he talked. I assumed he was the teacher.

 

"AHA! We have a new student here today! Please stand up and introduce yourself young lady," The teacher said enthusiastically to me.

 

"Annyeonghaseyo I'm Kwon JiEun, please treat me well," I stood up and bowed.

 

"HELLO JIEUN! I am Mr.Park! Welcome to my science class!" He said with a big toothy grin.

 

     I sat back down and opened my books and got ready for the lesson. At this point I was actually convinced Mr.Park was crazy and  had a look of fear on my face.

 

"Are you ok?" Baekhyun whispered in my ear and made me shiver. The hot air that came from his whispering made my cheeks heat up and gave me goosebumps. He clearly noticed me shiver and let out a small smile from my reaction.

 

"Yeah I'm ok, Mr.Park just freaks me out a bit," I said whispered back to Baekhyun and let out a small shy smile.

 

"Don't worry about that, he's always like this, you'll get use to it," He whispered again but not right in my ear.

 

     I nodded and began to listen on Mr.Park's lesson. If it wasn't for Mr.Park's extreme enthusiastic-ness on science, I would have tuned right out, but he made everything seem so exciting.

 

"Ok class, I'm going to have you turn to your table partner and have you work with the chemistry sets on your table, instructions are on the board," Mr.Park instructed.

 

     Baekhyun and I both looked at each other at the same time as if one cue and let out a laugh after. While Baekhyun was laughing I noticed at he had an extremely adorable eye smile, which made him even more attractive in my eyes. That's when I noticed.

 

     Wait, no this can't happen, I can't have a crush on Baekhyun! I just met him! He wouldn't like me back anyway, who would like a fat pig like myself?

 

     Our laughter stopped and we set our chemistry sets up and put some safety glasses on. Baekhyun seemed to know what he was doing more then I did because he started working on the assignment before me.

 

"Um Baekhyun?" I tried to get his attention because he was buried in his work. He heard me and stopped what he was doing and turned to me.

 

"Yes JiEun?" He asked politely with a smile.

 

"Don't get me wrong, I'm horrible with chemistry, but could I help you? I don't want you to do all the work and have us share the credit," I said as nice as I could.

 

"Oh sorry! Of course JiEun! Sorry, chemistry is just an area I'm really good in and I got a little ahead of myself, sorry," He apologized with a sheepish smile.

 

"Stop apologizing Baek, is that alright? Can I call you that?" I asked shyly.

 

"Sure you can call me that! In fact I like it when you call me that, it sounds good coming from you," He smiled.

 

There he goes again, making my heart thump. WAIT NO! This can't happen! I've only known him for two days! ONLY TWO DAYS! No I refuse for this to happen, but it's going to keep getting worse if he keeps acting like this around me.

 

"So anyway, can I help you?" I asked getting back on topic.

 

"Yes, can you pass me the right chemicals when I ask for them?" He asked.

 

      I nodded and took the chemicals out. Every time Baekhyun asked for something I passed it to him and hoping it was the right one. Back when I was home schooled I failed miserably at chemistry and swore I would never do it again, but look where I am now. All I could do was hope I didn't hand Baekhyun the wrong one and have something blow up in his face, that would be the end of me being friends with him for sure.

 

     As nice as it was to help Baekhyun out, I really wanted to try mixing some chemicals myself because handing him stuff was getting a bit boring. I quietly spoke up,

 

"Uh Baek? Can I try mixing some chemicals?"

 

He turned around to face me with another killer smile.

 

Damn you Byun Baekhyun, stop being so cute

 

"Sure you can! In fact I'll help you put the last one in, here hold this," He said happily and handed me a test tube.

 

       I took it and held it up straight so Baekhyun could pour the chemicals into it. Without any warning, Baekhyun put his hand over my hand that was holding the test tube, and with his other hand he poured the chemicals into it. My hand got goosebumps where his hand touched mine even though we were wearing gloves. He moved my hand over to the other test tube which held some of the other chemicals I passed to Baekhyun to use. While still holding my hand with the other test tube in it, he poured the liquid into the test tube and the contents turned bright red, the same colour as my cheeks at the moment.

 

He let go of my hand so I could put the test tube down. 

 

"Tah dah! We're done!" Baekhyun exclaimed without looking me in the eye. He looked really nervous, but still had the same smile on his face. 

 

      I didn't really feel like looking up at him because my face was still red from the incident that had just happened. I took my gloves and glasses off and set them on the side of the table, then I started to back my books up.

 

"ALRIGHT CLASS! Time to pack up! The lunch bell rings in a minute!" Mr.Park yelled out of no where which scared the crap out of me.

 

      I spotted Hyoyeon waiting for me at the door of the classroom and mouthed a ,"Hurry up!" And waved her arms around.

 

I glanced over at Baekhyun who was still cleaning up.

 

"Thanks Baek, I'm going for lunch now, see ya around," I said and waved goodbye.

 

"Oh JiEun! Yes thank you too! Would you also like to come sit with Daehyun, Jessica and I at lunch?" He asked.

 

It was so tempting to say yes, but I has already made plans with Hyoyeon for lunch.

 

"Oh um Baek, I'm sorry I can't, I've already made plans to sit with someone else at lunch, maybe next time?" I asked.

 

He nodded and gave me another smile," No problem JiEun! I'll see you around," He waved, and this time, I was absolutely positive that he winked at me.

 

I walked over to meet Hyoyeon outside the classroom, as I walked, I couldn't help but think,

(A/N): HOLA I'M BACK WITH ANOTHER UPDATE!!!!! OMGZZZZZ IS BAEK TIME >.< It's chemistry in chemistry class today and OMG SO CUTE asdfghjkl yeah sorry for the short update, I planned for the chem class and lunch with Hyoyeon to be in this chappy but it would have been extremely long if it did, so it's next chapter XP as usual srry for bad gramma I'll fix it later and/or spelling too ( my autocorrect HATES ME) and thanks to the subbies <3 glad to know you guys are actually reading this fic, I'm trying to put a lot of work into it :)
