"Wake up!"

Kyuhyun groaned, turning away from the annoying sound currently trying to make his ears bleed. But no matter how much he tried to ignore it the sound just won't disappear...and it was only just getting louder and more annoying.

"WAKE UP APPA!"

"What the hell!?" he finally shouted, jerking awake and finally having enough of that voice. He was actually just about ready to strangle whatever it was that causing the disturbance in his sleep.

"Good Morning appa!" the next thing he knew he was staring into Junghwan's face, the young man smiling so brightly  Kyuhyun took a minute to actually wonder how on earth his child manage to turn out quite the morning person when he himself felt like a grumpy troll every single ing morning.

"Appa, I said good morning!" the little boy aged 6 says yet again, a little louder this time and Kyuhyun knew he was probably not going to stop until he receives a reply.

“Yeah, yeah good morning to you Sandeul” he said, almost grumbling as he reached over and ruffled the boy’s hair. “Don’t you have school today? Why are you so damn energetic in the morning anyways?”

And Sandeul looks at him with a little pout, something he obviously got from his mother. “Appa doesn’t remember what day it is?” he asked, crossing his arms looking unhappy.

Kyuhyun stared, racking his brain because as a matter of fact he had no idea what today is supposed to be, he was so busy with his work the past few days he wasn’t even sure what day of the week it is already “Uh”

“Well?”

“It’s Wednesday?” he tried, of course he should have known that wasn’t the right answer.

“I hate you appa! You forgot! I’m telling umma!” and just like that Sandeul was jumping off the bed and running down the hall and the stairs, leaving behind a rather confused father who simply shook his head at the boy’s antics.

And speaking of umma, Kyuhyun turned and it finally registered to him that he was along in bed, making him frown a little. So that’s why he felt a little uncomfortable in sleeping. Deciding that going back to sleep wasn’t going to be an option if he didn’t have his partner by his side, he stood up to get dressed.

He had a feeling today is going be a long day.

But then again, his son’s birthday only comes once a year.

Yes, of course he remembers. He had a momentary lapse of memory because of his less than desired amount of sleep (and the fact that he had woken up alone on the bed) but of course Kyuhyun knew what day it was, how could he not?

Today was the day his and Sungmin’s little miracle was born.
