How do I begin to describe the voice of Shin Hye Sung?

Words just won’t cut it.

His voice is a combination of such heavenly textures –

Viscous as a sweet honey, rich as butter,

Comforting as a woolen sweater, gentle as love….

Dreamy as falling snow in a peaceful winter.         

His low notes ascend to high ones like a brilliant rising sun

And his high notes cascade to low ones like a silky waterfall.

So smooth are his transitions that reveal his talent –

The unrolling of a tidal wave over the shore

The unfurling of a furry blanket over a baby.

How often do I imagine his soothing voice

Cooing his baby child to sleep,

Serenading the lady of his dreams,

Expressing his love to the people that have his heart –

Such special people they must be.

How I long to be such a person to him…

This voice has made me fall in love.

A voice like no other,

This voice that makes him befitting of his title

The Prince of Ballad –
