Jonghyun has a crush.

He isn’t telling who, but Jinki thinks he knows.

“Is it Kibum?” Jinki asks when they meet after class. Jinki noted the way Kibum tried not to laugh when Jonghyun said something during the professor’s lecture. Of course, Jinki hadn’t heard a thing, but the exchange could be flirting.

He won’t mention the twinge in his heart at the sight—it was insignificant anyway.

Jonghyun laughs, shaking his head. “You’re kidding. He’s my brother.”

“Not by blood,” Jinki responds, although he accepts Jonghyun’s reason. It wasn’t Kibum.

The next day Jinki spotted Jonghyun tying Minho’s shoelaces, the taller threatening the older man as he did so.

“Is it Minho?” Jinki asks when Jonghyun spots him and runs over, flinging an arm over his shoulders and pulling Jinki close; he tries not to think about the way Jonghyun’s cologne makes his heart race, their proximity leaving him lightheaded.

Jonghyun snorts. “We hate each other.”

“You were tying his shoes,” Jinki points out. You don’t do that for your enemy.

“Yeah, because I sprained his back,” Jonghyun looks at Jinki meaningfully. “We were wrestling the other day, remember?”

Jinki’s lips form an ‘o’ and he nods knowingly. “Then it’s Taemin. You kissed him at that one party.”

The shorter bursts into laughter. “I kiss everyone at parties.”

Jinki flushes red. Yeah, Jonghyun was a kissing machine when drunk―Jinki was often a victim.

It is then that his best friend suddenly stops and plants a kiss on Jinki’s lips.

Dumbfounded, Jinki whispers with wide eyes, “Are you drunk?”

Jonghyun just smiles and kisses him again, deeper. “No,” he answers.

“Oh,” Jinki breathes quietly, lips parting as their tongues tangle.

It’s me. I’m the one he likes.

The warmth pooling in Jinki’s gut makes his toes curl from the giddiness.
