You are walking in a park at night, crying and alone. You just broke up with your boyfriend that you have been dating for the past three weeks. You keep wondering why you can never have a happy relationship, so many boyfriends have passed, but none have ever stayed.....and you know it’s because none of those boys are 'him'. Suddenly you see 'him', your best friend of 13 years, Lee Byung-hun, or as everyone calls him L.Joe. He's actually the reason why you try hard to be in a relationship, to forget him, because you know your love is only one-sided and you’re tired of being the only one in love. Seeing him come closer, you wipe your tears and think "Aishhh, why does he always come at a time like this!? Why does he insist on being with me after all my break-ups? It just makes it so much harder for me

L.Joe: "what's a pretty little lady like you doing all alone at night. You’re so week and defenseless."

 There he goes again trying to teas you.

 (you): “stop it you jerk, I'm not in the mood right now go away."

 L.Joe: *sigh* "I really hate seeing you cry over some jerk, you should pick your next boyfriend better.....one who loves you"

 (you): "Yea? And how in the world would I know who to pick?" you say looking at the ground. L.Joe grabs some strands of your hair and puts it behind your ears and carefully says,

 L.Joe: *serious* "someone who's been by your side for a really long time...someone who calls you a pretty even though you yourself don't see yourself as beautiful."

       You stand there frozen not knowing how to respond. You think "Is he talking about himself? Ani! There's no way…..my love is only one-sided."  Tears start to fall down your face that you can't stop.

         At the sight of your tears he hugs you, holding you from your waist and back, pulling you close to his chest.  So close that you can smell his scent, warm and comfortable.  So close that the warmth from his body quickly surrounds your own body.  So close that you can feel and hear his heart racing.

 He softly whispers in your ear,

 L.Joe: "Jebal.........please, don't cry anymore because of those jerks. Please, don't make my heart suffer anymore, don't make me watch you cry anymore because of another man...so please....please...pick me.....just give me a chance.  I will never make you cry, I will never hurt you"

Tears....

          The only thing you’re doing is crying.  You think "What is he saying? I don't understand.  My love has always been one-sided.  Right?  Why is he trying to play with my heart?"

           Knowing that you are unable to respond he lifts up your chin, still holding on to your waist and pulling you by your waist closer to his body. He pulls your chin making you both have eye contact, and you can see his eyes so clear.  He sais,

 L.Joe: "(your name) will you be my girlfriend?"

 (you): *stuttering* "N-Neh o-oppa" *blushing*

 L.Joe: *blushing* "Eo-Eotteoke?... You have called me oppa many times before...but.....but the feeling is different right now"  he says as he loosen you from his grip and shyly covers his mouth with the back of his hand.

(you): "I could stop calling you that if it makes you feel uncomfortable,"  you say embarrassed.

L.Joe: "ANI!!......er..I mean...no, it’s ok, please keep calling me that."

           You both start to chuckle and smile at each other sweetly.  But then you see his smile turn into a smirk, while he looks at you intensely with his seductive eyes.  You start getting a thrill inside you mixed in with a nervous sensation.  L.Joe grabs you by your hip, and with his other hand holds on to the side of your cheek stretching his fingers down to your neck. He leans his face towards yours and says,

 L.Joe: "Saranghae my pretty...no…My beautiful little lady" and gives you a wink

 (you): "Nado saranghae."

           He leans in more and kisses you on your lips. His lips so thin but smooth, against yours..... it’s the best feeling you could ever ask for, and you start to realize "It was never a one-sided love."
