Yunjae | The Real Proposal

The atmosphere was cloudy , the blue umbrella up there which is so shiny this morning now getting dark include a small thundering sound that is enough to make the pretty young man who had been waiting for something tremble.

Little Joongie had become a teen and was still waiting for his Yunnie to pick him up according to his promise ten years ago. Jaejoong still used the red ribbon Yunho pinned on his ring finger although the band was so tight now that it give a red mark on his finger.

"Where's my letter?" Jaejoong mumbled like a spoiled child while pouting his lips when he saw no letter in his house’s post office box from Yunho.

The cloudy circumstance was no different than that of Jaejoong's feelings at that moment. Yunho had always sent letters to him, but no letters had come since a week ago.

"The 'L' character again" he said staring at a small paper he had just taken from that post office box.

Instead of letters now Jaejoong always get small papers with one character. This is the fourth paper he received and the second time he had gotten the 'L' character. The first time, exactly a week ago, Jaejoong had received the 'W' character.

"Maybe Yunnie is busy" he continued to calm himself.
"But it’s now the holidays, isn’t it?" he asked himself confused.
"Or maybe Yunnie forgot..."

Jaejoong sighed in resignation and entered his house without knowing that someone was watching with a sly smile all this time. The mischievous smile was not lost as he kept looking at a simple house that has not changed since he left back then.

If ice covered the Earth as a sign of winter coming, then the blooming flowers signify the presence of the spring. But this seasons changing meant nothing to Jaejoong because he only had a few characters that he received over and over.

Jaejoong holding the fourteenth character in his hand right on the fourteenth day of February, he received the 'E' character this time. Until now he never understood the meaning of all the characters he received.

The pretty young man walked into his room with the paper held in his left hand and lay down on his black bed.

"Still no letter from Yunnie" he murmured sadly.

Jaejoong took a deep breath since he no longer gets letters from Yunho. He tried to think of every possible reason and doesn’t want to even doubt the sincerity of his fiancé.

But Jaejoong’s thoughts became distracted when his eyes accidentally looked at the 'E' character in his hand.

"What exactly is the purpose of this character?" he just looked confused at that paper and headed to bed side table.
"And I kept all of the other ones that I got it" he continued while pulling out his little red box. He then laid himself on his stomach.
"It's been 14 characters" Jaejoong added after calculating the number of papers in his secret box.

Jaejoong observed the scattered characters and began to arrange them in the order that he first got them. Jaejoong put together all the characters so that they would make a sentence.

"W-I-L-L Y-O-U M-A-R-R-Y M-E?" he read.
“Will you marry me?" said a deep voice in front of Jaejoong.
"Huh?" the beautiful young man was shocked when he looked up and stared at the handsome face before him.
"Yunnie!" Jaejoong shouted while getting up. He ran to the handsome man; his Yunnie.
"Yunnie you’re back" Jaejoong immediately hugged the muscular body.
"I came to pick you up" Yunho said right into Jaejoong’s soft ear.

Yunho walked slowly toward the black bed in front of him while still carrying Jaejoong in his arms, he smiled and kneeled down before his cute lover.

"Will you marry me Kim Jaejoong?" Yunho repeated his words.
"I do" Jaejoong replied enthusiastically.

His long fingers brought Jaejoong’s little fingers into his hand and replaced the red ribbon pinned on Jaejoong ring finger with a white golden ring with a small diamond in the middle.

"If so I’ll take back mine."

Yunho moved closer towards Jaejoong and took back a light peck that he had left on Jaejoong’s red lips ten years ago.
