Chapter 3 : Masquerade Ball

 

'' Juliet ! Juliet ! Juliet ! Open this door ! ''

 

Juliet justed finished curling her long and beautiful dark hair when she heard an impatient voice shouting while banging on her doors loudly. Min Kyung, Juliet's personal maid and her guardian, rushed towards the huge polished white doors and swinged them open.

 

Min Kyung quickly pushed aside and bowed automatically while letting Juliet's mother in. She came walking in her daughter's bedroom and stood behind her with a frown.

 

Juliet quickly got up from her seat and turned around facing her mother with a smile.

 

'' Juliet ! For crying out loud, what are you still doing here ? You should be downstairs by now ! The party has already started. Everyone is downstairs including your sister ! You know your father doesn't tolerate late people ! ''

 

Miss Maria Casanova, Juliet's beautiful, talented and caring loving Italian mama wasn't your average mother. Oh no she wasn't ! She was a strong and independent woman. Her mother wasn't scared of criticisms. She didn't bother herself with haters and she never let anyone boss her around or take advantage of her. She wasn't scared of expressing herself.

 

Juliet looked up to her mother. She was her role model.

 

Juliet always admired her mother for her strong personality, brains and beauty. Her mother used to model when she was younger. She started modeling at 14 and at 16, that's when her career blossomed. The media took interest in her. Her mother was really popular in Italy. She was known as ''The reincarnation of Venus''. She even participated for Miss Italy and won at age 18. She was a very famous supermodel, indeed.

 

As the years passed by, her mother retired from the modeling industry but her love for fashion never faded away. She became a very known fashion designer. She launched her own clothing brand and it is appreciated and loved around North America and Europe, especially in Italy. Her mother is making plans to open a business right here in Seoul to take over Asia.

 

'' Juliet ? Hellooo ~ Earth to Juliet ! You there ? '' Her mother was waving her hand infront of the young miss' face.

 

Juliet quickly shook her head. '' Mama, don't stress out. I'm ready can't you see ? I have my dress on, my heels, my make-up and hair are done ! '' She cheekily smiled.

 

'' Yes .... but one thing is missing. Where's your mask ? ''

 

Juliet turned to her beauty desk but didn't see her mask anywhere. She slightly furrowed her light dark eyebrows and pouted.

 

'' Min Kyung-sshi, do you know where is my mask ? '' She asked her maid in korean.

 

The old lady suddenly jumped out of surprise hearing the italian conversation over and the young miss talking back in korean. She quickly walked into the bathroom and suddenly came back with the young miss' mask.

 

'' Here you go, young miss.'' She handed it to Juliet and slightly bowed.

 

'' Gomawo ~ ''

 

Juliet put it on and faced her full length mirror with a golden frame. She smiled while staring at her reflection. Min Kyung who was standing beside her smiled at the beautiful young miss while the madame who was standing on Juliet's other side smiled as well.

 

'' Okay now let's go ! Our guests have already waited too long. '' The madame clapped her hands and Juliet quickly followed her mother out of her bedroom.

A group of 5 very handsome young men where hiding behind huge bushes and tall trees while staring at the noisy and crowded mansion from across the street. They scanned the outside of the mansion without missing anything. The mansion was surrounded with very tall silver gates with a camera in every corner. There were two scary and buffed bodyguards guarding the front gates and the mansion's main entrance. There were also security dogs walking around just waiting for any intruders.

 

'' Damn ! That place is freaking secured ! How the hell are we going to get in ?! '' Jong Hyun panicked while scanning the place.

 

'' This is mission impossible ! '' Min Ho agreed while gulping nervously.

 

Key just crossed his arms over his chest while giving Onew a dirty look.

 

'' See ! I told you we needed a plan and now look ! What are we gonna do oh great leader ! '' He said so sarcastically.

 

Onew poked Key's chest with his index finger feeling mad. '' Yah ! This is not my fault ! Don't you dare turn this on me, Kim Kibum ! ''

 

While the hyungs were panicking and arguing to themselfs pretty loudly, the handsome maknae was lost in his own world thinking of a plan inside his head. He smirked while rubbing his chin. His eyes looked one last time at the gates, guards and dogs.

 

Hmm~ This can work. I'm 100% sure of it !

 

Taemin cleared his throat while facing back his hyungs. '' Yah ! Listen guys, I have an idea and I am 100% positif that it will work.''

 

The guys instantly shut their mouths and gave all their attention to Taemin. They looked at him with sparkling eyes feeling relief that someone in the group thought of something.

 

'' Go on, go on ! What is it ? We're listening ! '' Min Ho encouraged him to speak his mind.

 

Taemin smirked. '' Okay listen well. So ... ''

One by one, the boys climbed up the gates from the back since it wasn't that crowded. When no one was looking they climbed up and safely sat down on the branches of the strong tree. They threw many pieces of beef jerky on the ground, waiting for the dogs to come and eat. As soon as the dogs finished eating their treats, they quickly fell asleep.

 

One by one, they climbed down the tree pretty quickly. Good thing it was near a dark and deserted corner of the backyard so nobody saw them. Once they touched the ground, they high fived eachother while cheering happily. It was a miracle that their expensive black suites weren't ripped or anything.

 

Before going in the mansion and joining the ball, they boys wore their masks on.

 

'' Let's party ~ ! '' Jong Hyun shouted while the others cheered along.

SHINee were drinking, dancing and chatting with girls close to the bar. They were having a great time. The best part was that no one suspected them, they blended in perfectly with the crowd.

 

In the other corner of the ballroom, EXO and Juliet's friends were chilling out.

 

Somewhere on the dancefloor, Juliet's sister was dancing with her friends.

 

Somewhere in the ballroom, Juliet's appa was discussing and drinking with his friends and colleagues. Finally, Juliet's mama joined her husband and the rest of their guests.

 

Taemin was getting hot with all the girls dancing too close to him. He couldn't take it anymore. He needed some fresh air so he started walking away from the bar without telling his hyungs since they were busy. He exited the ballroom and walked into the mansion's entrance hall.

 

As the giant wooden doors of the ballroom shut, it suddenly became quiet. Well not really since the music was blasting. Anyways, it was a perfect place to catch a breath. The place was deserted.

 

As he was catching his breath, he looked around the beautiful and very expensive hall. There was a very huge golden chandelier hanging on top in the center of the hall. The floor was neatly polished. There were traditional korean vases with some flowers decorating the place. Lights hanging on the walls and candels at the very end of the enormous staircase.

 

'' Damn, these people sure are loaded. I wonder who's place it belongs to ? ''

 

Unfortunately, he and his pals didn't have any clue who's party it was. Key told him that this place belongs to a Jung or maybe a Song something. Anyways, they didn't care. They only cared about the party so they didn't mind to ask for the owner.

 

Just when he was about to leave, he heard female voices coming from upstairs.

Juliet heard the blasting music coming from downstairs. She couldn't wait to meet her friends and have a good time especially with her boyfriend Kai. Even though she was wearing heels, she couldn't help but run down the empty hallway while Min Kyung was scolding her not to run.

 

She finally reached the hall's staircase while laughing at Min Kyung. Just when she was gonna take her first step down the stairs .... she ..... stopped.

 

Her eyes were focused on a man standing right at the end of the long staircase.

 

Every small step she took, getting nearer at the end, she noticed the stranger's appearence.

 

He looked quite tall and fitted. He had beautiful chocolate brown hair. His bangs were brushed to one side of his face. Nice nose. Plump lips. Sharp jawline. White creamy skin. y adam apple. He wore a mask with back on the right side and gold on the left side. He wore a lose black tie with his matching black suite and polished black shoes.

 

Indeed, he was handsome. She couldn't deny it.

 

Without her noticing, she started to blush.

 

The whole time she was staring at him, she felt that he was staring back at her as well.

Taemin froze instantly when he saw the most .... gorgeous, out standing and breathtaking girl at the top of the long staircase.

 

Every small step she took, getting nearer at the end, he noticed the girl's appearence.

 

She had the most beautiful and long dark hair he has ever since. Creamy white skin. Bloody red lips. Chocolate brown eyes. Rosy cheeks. Perfect cleavage. Tiny ant waist. She wore an amazing, beautiful, one of a kind white dress. The top was a bling out corset, it caressed her curves and hips perfectly. While the bottom of the dress was puffy with some bling. It did looked like a wedding dress. And her lacey white mask fitted perfectly. There was some small crystals decorating it from around the eyes area. A huge white bling rose attached to the right side of it.

 

He couldn't help but blush and felt his heart racing rapidly.

 

Indeed, she was gorgeous. She looked like an angel. A princess.

 

The young strangers were staring into eachother's eyes when she finally reached the very last step of the stairs. Both stood still in silence while mesmerizing eachother's beauty and presence.
