chapter twenty eight.
Pandora 2▲▼▲ DAVICHI - BECAUSE IT'S YOU
*Is he doing well? Is he eating? Is he getting enough sleep?* Minyoung frowned as she traced her pencil along the lines of her notebook paper. It had been a week since the incident with Sehun happened. A full week that sadden Minyoung because of how he never answered or replied to any of her questions, messages, or calls. A full week of avoiding Minyoung, and it was starting to bring the stress back to her. Minyoung looked down at her cellphone. *Should I call him again?* She pressed the power button of her phone, but then paused. *He still wouldn’t answer...* She looked back up at her notebook. *I wonder what’s been bothering you, Sehun...* She pouted as she rested her chin on her desk. *Is it because of what I said to you?*
“Okay, tell me.” Minyoung looked up at Ilsung who stared down at her with a worried expression. “What’s been bothering you lately?” He glanced at the empty seat beside her and pointed at it, “Is it because of Sehun?”
“Yeah...” she replied. “I want to know what’s going on with him...” Minyoung let out a heavy exhale, “The last time I saw him, he avoided me.”
“Did you try contacting him?” Ilsung asked.
Minyoung nodded as she sat up straightly again. “Or I wonder it could be because of Jinsung... He’s Sehun’s cousin, and gave Sehun a hard time throughout his childhood and even now.”
Ilsung’s lips parted as he wanted to say something, but the bell had rung and students were rushing towards their seats and waited for their teacher.

Another week passed, and Minyoung became more anxious. This time, she waited and waited for Sehun’s calls and visits. Nothing from him. It seemed as if it was the first time in her life has she ever felt so disappointed and empty. She wanted to hear or at least just see Sehun again, so that her worries would leave. All she wanted to know that if he was whether or not okay. Many questions were listed in her thoughts, and they were only able to be left unanswered until she saw Sehun again. But there was one question that only she could answer. *Why do I feel so empty without him? With him, I smile so much more, like how I did when he was my first crush. Perhaps, I still have a secret crush on him?* For the millionth time in those two weeks of Sehun’s disappearance, Minyoung sighed again in frustration and worry.
“Since you won’t tell me what’s going on with you, I’ll tell you what’s going on with me.”
Minyoung looked up at Ilsung, “Huh? Did you say something?” she replied.
Ilsung sighed and stared out the window of their classroom, “I’ll tell you what I’m feeling right now. If I do, you will too,” he says, staring down at the shorter girl. “I’m tired.”
“Then you should go home and rest. I’ll go home in a sec-”
“I meant,” he interrupted, “I’m tired of just standing here and watch you drown in all the worry, and you’re not telling me anything. I want to help, Minyoung, but you keep zoning out into your own world and you never answer the questions that I gave. You’re like the girl I met a couple of years ago, again. What happened to the new one?” He watched Minyoung as she sat in silence, staring down at the tiled floors. “Now tell me what you’re feeling.”
“Hurt.” Minyoung looks up at Ilsung, “And confused.” She bit her lip before glancing back down. “It hurts a lot...” she confesses.

“Tell me,” Ilsung says as the two sat down at a nearby ramen restaurant. “Do you like Sehun?”
Minyoung laughed slightly to herself as she sipped her water, “I don’t know. Do I? I might, or not.”
“How do you feel when you’re not around Sehun then?” Ilsung asked.
Minyoung exhaled sharply as she buried her face in her hands, “Empty and disappointed.”
“So you do,” he says.
“No, I don’t,” Minyoung said. “I don’t.”
Ilsung raised a brow, “Why do you think so?”
Minyoung looked up at the light brown haired friend of hers and smiled, “Because I had this same feeling before I met him, before everything was better,” she justified.
“So... You don’t.”
Minyoung gazes up at Ilsung and smiles again, shaking her head, “We can’t know that for sure... I feel like I’m hiding a secret from myself, and I want to know.”
“Don’t worry about Sehun too much,” Ilsung says. “He just needs to clear his mind right now. It might take him a bit longer to let it all out.”
“I’m still worried...” Minyoung confesses.
“Don’t. Sehun’s a strong guy, he just doesn’t know that he is. It will take him a long time to realize that,” he said.

A sigh came from the boy as he stared at his phone. He missed her calls and visits, and now regrets it all. Sehun’s thumb inches towards Minyoung’s name on his contact list. *Don’t be mad at me, okay?*
