Bang Yong Guk x reader oneshot
Description
A quick story of what happened at a B.A.P. concert where love took priority over the show.
Foreword
You stood in the audience in the great concert hall, watching as your boys finished yet another amazing performance. Your heart throbbed inside your chest as Yong Guk completed his rap solo and then your mind started to go back to the conversation you’d had a while ago…
“I can’t take it anymore!” you’d told him, finally saying the words you’d held inside for so long. After becoming a hairstylist on B.A.P.’s team, you and Yong Guk had begun dating a few months ago. However, you just hadn’t realized how crazy things were going to become as B.A.P. got more and more famous and the BABYs just kept increasing! You needed more time and attention that most of the time he just wasn’t able to give it. So you’d broken up; you believing he’d be better off without your whining, and him thinking you could find someone else who could love you properly.
But it hurt so much… and now, watching the show, it was nearly more than you could take. You’d planned on staying for the show, just to show that you were alright, but as your favourite song, “Crash”, began, you found that you were no longer able to handle it. Turning from your V.I.P. seat, you got up and began to leave. Tears burned your eyes as you gathered up your things and stepped toward the exit.
Suddenly, there was a sputter into the microphone. The background beats continued but there was silence coming from the stage. “Don’t!” Someone was yelling into the mic. It was Yong Guk. Confused, you wondered what he was doing, who he was talking to. His hand was stretched out, reaching into the audience, almost like he was….grabbing at something, or someone. Did you dare to think it? His deep voice reverberated throughout the concert hall, repeating his plea over and over again.
Bag slung over your shoulder, you had actually planned on leaving everything as you went out, as it was just too painful to continue to be in such close contact after the breakup. You’d only told one person, but perhaps had word gotten around already? You hesitated, but were unsure. “I can’t do this,” Yong Guk then said softly into the mic. “I have to be yours now; there’s no other way. I can’t… I can’t get to you in this crowd.” You heard a clatter then and took a step forward.
After a few seconds, Zelo picked up his part but Yong Guk’s part remained a void of sound. Confused, you turned back to the stage and… he wasn’t there. You squinted, spotting Daehyun, Youngjae, Himchan and Jongup all there with Zelo; but where had Yong Guk gone? The show continued, but you could tell that the boys’ hearts weren’t fully in it; they were all wondering what was going on. Suddenly, the stage lights with full power, lighting up the audience. You were momentarily blinded but as soon as your eyes adjusted you scanned the crowd for signs of Yong Guk.
Finally, you saw him. Or rather, he saw you. Tall enough to see over most heads, he locked his eyes onto yours and didn’t look away. It was as if the fans could feel it too, parting for him to walk toward you, without asking for autographs or causing a stampede to be close. 10, 5, 2, feet… and finally inches apart, Bang Yong Guk held out his arms and you fell into them, not caring about showing so much public skinship. However, he took it one step further still, rewarding you with a light kiss for all the BABYs to see, claiming you in front of everyone.
“But, what made you change your mind?” you whispered as the lights began to dim once more.
“It was the song,” he replied. “Every time I tried to get the words out, all I could picture was you. That song…could only be about you. Every lyric was…you.” Tears in your eyes, you nodded into his chest as the song finished.
“Way to go, hyung!” Zelo yelled into the mic and the audience cheered. Yong Guk blushed and threw his hat into the air.
“Now, promise me you’re not gonna leave again,” Yong Guk whispered.
