Narrator’s P.O.V:
Miyoung gaped, “J-Jonghyun oppa… Yonghwa oppa…”
“In the flesh,” Yonghwa struggled to hide his grin.
“But what—how?”
The two simply shared a smirk and stepped aside.
“That one thing that’s not fine,” a voice mused, “wouldn’t be me, now, would it?”
L. Joe stepped in, ignoring all the gawks and stares from the others. Behind him stood Teen Top, but all the dark-haired female could see was the glowing halo of blond, the male with the strangely pierced ears, peachy complexion, and sharp facial features.
*Byunghun. Byunghun. Byunghun.* She chanted his name like a spell. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
She tried to stand up, but her legs shook like jello, making her tip over. Before she could crumple into an embarrassing heap, a hand grabbed her arm, keeping her up. She turned in surprise to stare into the face of L.
After a long while of silence, which was unlike him, Hoya had stepped in between them too, guarding Miyoung. He towered above L. Joe with a menacing, irritated look.
Something in L. Joe twitched. Putting height issues aside, L. Joe didn’t hesitate to stare back.
“So you’re the half human.”
“Hoya!” Miyoung warned.
But L. Joe gave her a reassuring look and raised his gaze back to the taller one. “That’s right.” Hoya raised an eyebrow at his nonchalance and narrowed his eyes, “I should’ve known. You didn’t seem like your other comrades at the beginning. The lifeless robots.” Niel stepped up, “What did you say?” Changjo tugged him back at once. But instead of glaring or smirking, L. Joe smiled. “Robots, they may be, but they’re no different from your kind, seeing as your right leg is manmade.” Hoya blinked before letting out a small amused smirk. “You’d better treat her right, Andromeda,” he moved aside, “She’s quite a handful.” Miyoung’s stunned gaze locked onto Hoya’s, as he gazed back for a fraction of a second before turning away. Although he avoided her gaze quickly, she caught the look of guilt in his eyes. “I’m sorry I doubted you and lashed out,” they seemed to say, “I just wanted to make sure you were in good hands.” Miyoung’s heart warmed. *Hoya…* L. Joe stared at L – who was still by Miyoung’s side – blankly. *Another one?* But surprisingly, L simply helped her stabilize herself on the floor and let her go. He glanced up at L. Joe. “You let me off once,” he said in a calm, soft-spoken voice. “One time, long ago. You saw me, who was defenseless. You could have killed me then, but instead, you nodded once, turned your head, and left.” Miyoung and L. Joe stared at him, taken aback. “Frankly, I don’t care or know if you remember it or not, but I do,” he straightened up, “And I know that you’re more than capable of protecting her, but remember this. Miyoung might have been Teen Top’s family first, but now she’s part of Infinite’s, too.” He eyed him, “And if you bring danger to her or hurt her in any way, I have no doubts that her Healer family,” he nodded to Jonghyun and Yonghwa, “Her evader family,” he stared at Teen Top, “And her chaser family will hunt you down. Not to mention you’ll be cursed by her family in heaven for eternity, too.” L. Joe gawked at him as L smirked back. “YEAH! You tell him, Myungsoo! Don’t worry, L. Joe – if you hurt my precious Mimi, you’ll have hell to pay!” Yonghwa cheered, earning a shove from Jonghyun, “Shut up, hyung, please!” A loud snort came from the back. Ricky, who had his hands over his mouth, tried to suppress his laughter. “You shut up too, Ricky.” Changjo commanded. Ricky gaped at his follow teammate, “YAH! I’m your hyung!” Changjo simply rolled his eyes, which brought on laughter from the whole room. Even Hoya managed a small grin that was quickly replaced by his poker face. L smiled at Miyoung as she giggled secretively and gave her a little push, “What are you waiting for? Your beloved awaits.” Miyoung stumbled forward at the sudden shove, and hands snared around her waist before she could fall again. She stared up w
