The lights were flickering in blue and purple and put anything in their spotlight. The lights bathed upon the men while they moved to the hard-hitting bass coming out of enormous speakers. Their heads nodded, the microphones emitting spitting and preaching verses of poem like jeremiads about societies' moral decay. Odes about past and the present, and what was to come was beautifully crafted and woven to sorrowful R&B tunes.

The crowd went wild, scuffing occurring as hordes of young adults; women and men alike jumped and cheered mindlessly of different reasons. Girls were screaming their biases' names and erupted in undignified wails as a small wink was sent their way by said bias.

On the stage the group moved along, but only one could be seen. In the middle the light caught on him. A lanky teen in a black tee and red baseball hat set askew on his head. The boy frowned, clutched the shirt over his heart and cried out yet another verse with such intensity veins popped out in his neck and droplets of sweat fell off his eyebrow.

He was by no means handsome; not by general definition – at least.

But this is where I, Luhan, saw him for the first time.
