I love Athena.

The very first time I saw her. The very first time I heard her voice.

It was love. The feeling that urged me to talk to her, the urge to be with her every afternoon, the desire to protect her,

to take away her sadness, to make her smile every day.

It’s all love.

Months passed by quickly.

The school year is ending so we’re not so busy in school. Athena and I spend more time with each other.

She plays the guitar and sings while I’m listening beside her. Sometimes I take her to the park and we lay there side to side.

We have talked over about many things.

She told me that it is her dream to have a best friend.

At first I found it weird but she told me that since her childhood, no one stayed to be her friend.

All her friends left her because of her disability. Just because she cannot see, they left her alone.

“Will you be like them? You’ll leave me in the end don’t you?’

“Athena.”                                                

“Hmm?”                                                     

“I’ll never leave you. I promise you. I’ll stay. I’ll protect you. I’ll never leave no matter what.”

I hope you’ll keep your promise. Please stay.

Don’t worry; it will not take you forever.” ^^

“Don’t worry, I can stay forever. So don’t leave huh.”

“I wish. I wish I don’t have to.”

“What do you mean?”
