Chapter 8

The girls ended yet another performance at M Countdown and they were glad to have a two-hour rest. They were on the van, travelling to the other side of Seoul, to attend a music festival.

The girls sat silently in the van, everbody too weary to speak. Eunwon had something to say, it has bugged her since their first meeting.

“MinAh, do you like Kris?”Eunwon’s abrupt question broke the thin silence in the car. “Do you?” Eunwon urged.

“No…I mean we’re just kinda friends.” MinAh took a while to answer. All the members looked at MinAh wierdly, “Yeah, but do you like him?” BangJi asked.

“Unnies, listen, I’ve been in SM long enough and I know it all. MinAh and Kris met during the auditions and apparentally both of them got in. I remember they performed a duet once on Minho Oppa’s birthday. Then after that they got really close for some reason, and well, there were some rumours about them…it took long for it to die down.” JungJi cut in to explain.

“So yes or no?” Aeri persisted on.
 

“first option…”MinAh mummbled while looking out of the car.

“Welcome to Super Junior’s Sukira my lovely listeners. I am DJ Sungmin !”

“And I’m Ryeowook.”

“The spring season is in full bloom, is everybody enjoying this relaxing afternoon with some cappucino?” Sungmin asked.

“Today, we have invited guests that will make you much more alert than your caffeine ever can.” Ryeowook said.

“Annyeonghaseyo ! We are -5 Celsius!” The girls announced.

“Neh, our bright hoobaes have come to visit Sukira ! Please all introduce yourself.”

After the introductions, Ryeowook asked, “How is everyone feeling? I think this is your first ever radio show am I right? So everyone should be a little nervous…”

“Neh.” The girls answered.

“I’m really nervous, hehe, please take care of us!” Eunwon said.

“I’m sure you would be on your first radio show! Please introduce your album!” Sungmin requested.

“Ah, sure !” HyeKyung started, “Our mini-album is called “Freeze” and we have a total of 3 songs on it. It has a funky style with our title track as “Vista”. It is a very grand song with very upbeat tune. The next song is a rather relaxing one called “Be mine” and the next is a very R&B song called “Every Night” which is my personal favourite!”

“Alright! Now lets have a listen at their title track “Vista”!” Ryeowook announced.

“Ahhh, that was a very nice song! I like it a lot hehe, I’m going to download it on my MP4!” Sungmin commented. “Now lets play a game. It’s the “Yaja” game. Where the ages switch, the maknae becomes the oldest and the older ones becomes the maknaes.

“Sounds fun!” JungJi being the maknae, exclaimed.

“I don’t have a good feeling about this,” Eunwon being the eldest frowned.

“3 2 1…start!” Sungmin announced.

“Yah, HyeKyung, tell me why you were making me do the dishes last night? It’s your turn you know? How absolutely irresponsible of you.” Aeri started speaking to HyeKyung who burst out laughing in shock and embarrassment.

“Aeri ah, I … it wasn’t my turn-“ HyeKyung tried to rebutt.

“Yah, how noisy of you, shut-up.” JungJi exclaimed daringly.

“And Eunwon-ah, fetch me a bottle of water please.” MinAh pointed lazily to the bottle of water next to Eunwon.

“Me too, me too.” Nina added.

Eunwon rolled her eyes and did so.

“This is getting out of hand-“ Eunwon mumbled.

“Ah, Eunwon, come and give me a massage.” Nina demanded.

Eunwon frowned.

“Alright, that was hilarious but I think you guys better stop because from the look on your leader’s face. You look like you guys won’t have an easy time back in the dorm.” Ryeowook said, recovering from his laugh.

“Ani, I won’t say anything.” HyeKyung smiled.

“But she’ll go tell the manager unnies.” MinAh said and the DJs laughed.

“-5 Celsius has good variety sense nae?” Sungmin exclaimed

“Ok, now let’s have -5 Celsius sing their song “Be Mine” from their album !”

The girls got off the chair to the mikes to sing their song.

Afterwards, the girls were asked some questions.

“Which member is the group’s fashion terrorist?”

“HYEKYUNG!” They shouted together.

“What? Why?” HyeKyung asked.

“Because she only likes vintage style and always wears clothes of that style. To make it worse, we don’t even think that style suits her! It makes unnie look really…strange and dull.” Nina answered.

“But she looks ok today?” Ryeowook commented.

“Because I picked her clothes!” MinAh said.

“Next, which member eats the most?”

“JINA!” They shouted together again.

“There was once, after recording, manager unnie brought us ddeokbukki and Nina and Bonnie and her shared one container. JiNa ate a big half of it before Nina and Bonnie even got their eating utensils!” Eunwon said and JiNa laughed.

“Yeah and I’m really jealous because she eats so much but never gets fat!” Aeri whined.

“Me too!” The members chipped in.

“Next, which member has the most …AEGYO?” Sungmin asked while looking at JiNa.

“Not me, oppa!” JiNa said.

“Its our Eunwon unnie…” Aeri said, “she has a brilliant version of the “Gwiyomi Player”. Try it, unnie!”

The members cheered while Eunwon hid her face in embarrassment.

“That was so cute I had goosebumps.” Ryeowook said.

“Eyyyyyyy….Don’t lie…”HyeKyung said.

“Haha, I didn’t…” Ryeowook replied.

“Good things end fast..Its time for us to say our goodbyes..” Sungmin said and the girls sighed and nodded.

“Goodbye listeners, stay tuned for us next week.”

“Same day, same time….ANNYEONG!”
