It’s been two days since we arrived. We thought it would be better if we still live separately (although we’re twins, we have different tastes), but at least we’re still next door to each other. We have finally finished arranging everything at my place. And now it’s my turn to help Sandy at her place, but I gave up when we’re in Sandy’s room. She keeps on interrupting me with her instructions on where or how to place her things to the point of being annoying, that before I lost my patience, I held up both my hands.

“Wait! No more Sandy. I’m gonna leave your room up to you.”And they thought I was the bossy one.

“I think you’re right. I’ll be able to do things faster if I do it alone…”

And smiled at me sweetly. Then we both heard a grumbling sound… and we both started laughing.

 “Oh oh! I’m hungry Sandy. I’ll go buy take-out” I stood up.

“I remember a noodle shop, I think, 2 blocks away from here. I think I need something heavy to settle my stomach and it sounds like, yours too.”

“Okay, noodles it is. You finish what you’re doing here and prepare the table, ok? Give me an hour.” I took my purse then headed out.

I decided to walk since it’s not that far. It’s not that hot and it’s somewhat windy and cloudy. One more block, I thought to myself.

That’s when I notice a guy, walking about 2 feet behind me. He was busy scribbling notes on his small notebook and I also noticed cords trailing down from his ears. He’s listening to music with his head down and walking straight. This guy is asking for an injury, I thought, shaking my head.

The noodle shop is located at the corner of the 3rd street. I stopped before crossing the road, and then I noticed the guy with the red cap seems to have no intention of stopping.

I just grabbed him in time when a car drive by and almost hit him.

“Yah!”  The part that I grabbed was the collar part of his shirt.

“Aaackk…” he spun around and faced me.” Ouch! That hurt.” H
