This is what I think (which will ultimately be different to your thinking)... I think L. Joe still loved Chanhee...
I don't know why but I feel that he still loved Chanhee and his feelings were getting mixed up (or it could just be his sis or cousin).... But you know he'll still end up with Chanhee. If it was anyone, the guilt of cheating would have already eaten them alive but L. Joe clearly didn't act guilty (this means he's a player or he isn't cheating). Chanhee is innocent and L. Joe clearly didn't waver. Also, his concern when Chanhee was in the accident is way more than acting.
I mean, hm... you know what?
