It Has To Be You-
“Don’t even think about it.” Gyuri glared at Eunhyuk.
He was messing around in her bedroom, touching her photographs and even her mattress.
Gyuri was worried that her mother would be home anytime by now. Omma would have the shock of her life if she saw her precious daughter with a guy in her bedroom.
Gyuri could just imagine how her mom would literally kill her before she would get a chance to explain.
“Are you some kind of stalker? Why are you looking through my personal things?” Gyuri snatched a picture that Eunhyuk was looking at. Apparently, the picture was of Gyuri and her ex-boyfriend in a restaurant. Gyuri wondered why she even kept it in the first place. That guy was bad memories to her.
“Who was he?” Eunhyuk persisted. “Why is your room so… pink?”
She pushed him out of her room before he could ask any more questions.
“Can’t you just keep to yourself, Lee Eunhyuk? Now, you promised to stay on the couch until you’ve rested. And now since you feel better, you can go home now. I can just call a cab—” Ding Dong*.
.
Eunhyuk looked through the window.
“It’s your mom.”
“Don’t open it!” Gyuri panicked. She crossed over the room before Eunhyuk could open the door.
It was too late.
Eunhyuk smiled calmly at Gyuri’s mother. He bowed once. Park Yeonsoo almost dropped her groceries from the sight of the handsome man standing next to her daughter. Standing there with her eyes bulging out, she stood still, too surprised to even move.
Eunhyuk made the first move to help Yeonsoo with the groceries. As he gladly took the bags from her hands, she continued to stand completely frozen and horrified.
While Eunhyuk brought the bags to the kitchen, Gyuri waved a face at her mother.
“Omma, can you hear me? Omma?”
In a shaky voice, Yeonsoo glared at her daughter, “How dare you bring your boyfriend home without my consent!”
“He’s not my boyfriend! Omma!”
“Don’t lie to me, child. I can see right through you. How long have you kept your relationship a secret, hm?”
“I swear he isn’t! Believe me! I just met him earlier today.”
Yeonsoo almost choked, “You let a stranger into this house?!”
“No, no, no! I didn’t mean it that way. He’s my sunbae in school!”
Outraged, Park Yeonsoo grabbed her daughters’ hands. “I don’t know what truth your speaking. Telling me one thing and lying right to my face, covering lie after lie. I can’t believe you let a boy into this house. If you get pregnant, I swear I’ll disown you-”
“Miss Park!” Eunhyuk ran towards the two. “I assure you nothing… happened.” He winked at Gyuri, who was devastatedly frozen at her mom’s words. Pregnant?
“I came over to your lovely abode because we have a project to do for our Critical Writing class. Your daughter did nothing wrong. It was a last-minute planning and if anyone is to blame, it should be me. I suggested it.”
Park Yeonsoo looked Eunhyuk once over.
A long silence overcame the room.
Then, Yeonsoo sighed a long sigh.
“Boy… what is... you’re name?” she said.
"My name?..." Eunhyuk looked at Gyuri before answering. “I am Hwang Eun Hyuk.”
…Hwang?!
Yeonsoo nodded, shaking hands with 'Hwang' Eun Hyuk.
“Ah, I see. Well, as a mother I couldn’t help but get carried away.” Taking off her coat, Yeonsoo started up the stairs. “Hopefully, you guys can finished the project. Gyuri, make sure he’s welcomed here, and bring him some tea.” She looked at Eunhyuk, “You can stay here as long as you like.”
After she disappeared in her room, Gyuri looked at Eunhyuk in amazement.
“I think my mother likes you. I saw the way she observed you. Surprisingly, she approves. That’s rare.”
“Well… I am charming.” Eunhyuk pointed at himself proudly.
Scoffing, Gyuri went into her room to start their “project”.
Why did Eunhyuk lie about his real name?
Could it be that he’s hiding something?
Following her to her room, Eunhyuk couldn’t help but think of the actual reason why he came here.
My father will be happy that I made it this far in such a short amount of time. Everything is going as planned. Actually, I need to go a little slower and take my time. I need to find out more about her father without being obvious. This is why I came here. My mission is to get information about the Park clan.
As the door shut behind him, he looked once at the pretty girl in front of him.
While Gyuri looked up innocently at him with her pretty doe eyes, he almost lost sight of why he came to her house in the first place. 'She's captivating...'
Almost forgeting his obligation, he shook his frantically to get rid of that horrible thought.
…No.
Of course he would never fall for Park Gyuri.
Never will it happen.
He would swear it on Han Yui’s grave…
