Your days in the hospital passed rather quickly. You've been spending almost two weeks there. Every evening, Luhan would come

and visit you to give you homework from school. After that, he would help you unto your wheelchair and push you out of the hospital 

to get a breathe of fresh air. You really were grateful for an awesome friend like Luhan. Sometimes his mom would come and visit you

and hallelujah she would bring her famous cookies. Yeah, your life in the hospital was tolerable. You made new friends with patients 

and doctors here but your fave doctor here was of course Dr. Suho. He was a really good doctor and very sweet to. You 

were quite happy in the hospital eventhough you were really getting sick of the smell of disinfectant but you were itching to get out of 

this place. You were itching to get up and walk on your own two feet without Luhan helping you into a wheelchair to get to where you 

want. But most of all, you were itching to see your parents. You missed them. A lot. And you haven't seen them for what seemed like 

months. You wanted to at least talk to them or have some type of contact with them. But everytime you asked Luhan where were they

or when they were gonna get back, he would scratch the back of his neck awkwardly and tell you the same answer everytime. 'They'll 

be back soon. Don't worry. They said they'll get back from their 'business trip' soon and come see you'. That was the answer 

everytime. When was soon exactly?. Another week maybe? Maybe three weeks? You wanted to know. You just wanted to see them.

Everytime they go on business trips, they would call you every morning before you go to school and every night before you went to 

bed. But now, nothing. You understood they were busy, but busy until they couldn't contact you? Something wasn't right.

 

Another typical day. You woke up from your afternoon nap. You checked the clock hanging in the wall. Luhan would be coming soon. 

You couldn't wait to get out of bed and go outside to get some fresh air. Being confined to a bed in a hospital was boring work. All you 

could do was just sit around, take a nap, maybe read a book. That's it. You sat up on your bed and waited patiently for your best 

friend's appearance.

                'You have to tell her sooner or later Luhan' you heard Dr.Suho's voice coming from the corridor near your ward

                'Dr, you know I can't, she won't be able to face the truth' 

Luhan? What was he talking about.

                'The later you tell her, the harder it will be for her to accept it. You can't do this to her Luhan. You can't keep the truth from

                 her any longer'

Tell what? What was going on?? 

                'But dammit, I just don't want to see her cry. She-she won't be able to take it. I won't be able to take it if I see her cry' you          

                heard Luhan's voice whimpering.

                'Look Luhan, I know it's very hard to tell the truth. I've seen patients in situations like these before. I know how hard it is 

                because I've seen it. But once everything is let out, everything will be fine and back to normal. Just tell her. She'll learn to 

                accpet it. Tell her, it's the right thing to do'

                'But how am I gonna tell her that her parents are gone?'

What? Your whole body froze. What did he mean gone? Gone on business trip?

                 'LUHAN!!!' You called

Your dear friend and your doctor appears at your ward in seconds.

                 '_______, what's wrong? Why did you scream?' His face etched with worry

                 'Luhan, what did you mean by my parents are gone? What is going on?'

Luhan's face fell. His gaze met the floor refusing to look at you in the eye. 

                 'Luhan' you grabbed his sleeve.

                 'What do you mean by my parents are gone? Gone on business trip? Gone on holiday? Answer me please' you begged

He sighed and took your hand and sat down.

                 '_______,' he said slowly. 'Promise me you will stay calm when I tell you this'

                 'What happened Luhan?' 

He took a deep breathe and said

                  'Your parents passed away in the car accident' 

Your blood suddenly ran cold. You felt your face being drained of it's color. Your breathing suddenly got heavier

                   '_______?' Luhan said cautiously

You shook your head

                   'No' you said quietly 'No....no....they're not gone. I-I don't believe you. Yesterday you-you just said that they will comeback 

                   from their trip and come visit me. How can they be gone?'

                  '_______!!!' Luhan said his voiced raised 'They died. They're dead. They died in the car crash. They're never coming back'

                  'No...no...I wanna see my mommy and daddy' you said tears falling down your cheeks as reality started to sink in to you.

You pushed Luhan aside and tried to get out of bed. As you still couldn't use your legs, you fell to the ground the minute you tried to 

get up. Luhan tried to help you get up but you pushed him of. As a result you fell again, this time bringing a vase full of flowers down 

with you. The vase smashed and you fell heavily and the broken porcelain. Red was suddenly seen on the floor.

                  'MOMMY!!!' 'DADDY!!!' You wailed 

Luhan enveloped you in a hug failing miserably to soothe the pain you were feeling now

                 'How can they be dead?' You cried 'I didn't even get to say goodbye? How could you go so soon? I still need you' you

                 wailed in Luhan's embrace. All he could do was your head and not cry himself.

                 'Mommy, daddy, I still need you. Why did you go? Don't you love me? Why did you go like that?

                 'Shhh' Luhan soothed, 'Everything is gonna be okay'

You pushed away from him

                  'Okay? Everything is not going to be okay!! You lied to me Luhan!! My parents died and only now you tell me!!' You said in 

                  absolute anger. Your sadness was suddenly replaced by frustration 

Luhan hung his head

                  'I didn't want you to get hurt. I didn't want to see you cry' he said softly 

                  'You didn't want to see me cry? I'm crying now Luhan!! You lied to me about something as important as this!! My parents 

                   are dead. And you choose to tell me two weeks after I woke up?'

                  'I'm sorry' he said, his voice barely a whisper now. Dr. Suho just stood by the side nervously

                  'And you' you said to Dr.Suho ' you knew about this and you never told me?' What kind doctor are you? Aren't doctors

                  suppose to tell the truth?'

He just bit his lip guiltily and looked down unto the floor

                  ' I can't believe it. The people I trust the most lied and kept secrets from me. You know what? I'm going out. I'm not gonna

                  stay here and get lied to'

With much difficulty, you hoisted yourself up your bed and onto your wheelchair that was at the other side of your bed. Luhan tried to 

help you but you pushed him of fiercely. Once you got on, you speeded out of the hospital. You heard Luhan calling after you but you

just inored him. Gradually his calls got fainter and fainter. When you got out of the hospital, you were greeted by a strong gust of

auntumn air.Auntum was your favorite season, but you had no time to enjoy it now. You were too busy to get away from everyone.

You kept going until you reached the spot where Luhan always took you. It was located behind the hospital where it was

overlooking a forest providing a view as the hospital was situated on top of a hill. When you reached the spot only then did you stop 

wheeling yourself and let go of your wheelchair. You stared into the horizon as the sun was going to set. Your tears started cascading 

down your cheeks as they thought of not seeing your parents again came into your mind. You were crying also because your best

friend whom you trusted so much lied to you. You and Luhan knew each other since you guys were in nappies. If you couldn't trust

him, who could you trust? More tears started to form as you saw the sun set. You and Luhan would've been counting down the

seconds on when the sun was going to set. It was always fin being with him. You suddenly let a small smile form on your lips. But then

you remembered that your parents were dead and your best friend was a liar. Not to mention your doctor. 

 

You buried your face in your hands. A pain shot up your arm. You realized that your arms were still bleeding because of falling on the

broken shards of the vase. Their were even little bits of porcelain in the cuts which were in fact quite deep. Your hospital dress was

streaked with red. You sighed. This the least of your problems. Your heart still ached. How were you going to get over this? This wwas

so much you could take. Your hands met your face again as you started to sob silently again.

                      'I miss you mommy. I miss you daddy' you mumbled in your hands.

You suddenly felt a particularly strong gust of wind. It felt like it was blowing around your body. You just continued crying. Suddenly,

you felt a hand on your shoulder.

                       'Why are you crying?'
