Chapter 14: Desperate

Kim Hye-Ri's POV:

Exactly one month was left.

And I had found little to nothing, actually make that nothing.

I had found absolutely nothing.

Time was running out and I was desperate, desperate to find answers.

Answers at any cost.

I tried talking to Baro's younger sister but that didn't work, Jiyong didn't know a thing about her brother's whereabouts except that he was always at work.

I even tried locating his other sister, Jieun to get info from her.

But she was kept locked air tight at a facitlity for the mentally sick, and wasn't allowed to see anybody outside her family.

There was no way of getting any information.

Except that check in that book...

But the next day when I went to check it, it was missing.

Why? Was I just imagining things?

Was it just a simply piece of paper?

Maybe that was just a check he was writing out to a "Sunwoo"

Frankly I don't really know.

But I need to find out fast.

But at least I know now that i have a little bit of info, if ever so small.

It's every little bit that counts.
