Zebra Mocha.

Dripping Black.

Winter had gripped Korea once again.

Another snowflake landed on his nose, and he brushed it away as soon as he felt the cold sensation on the tip of his nose. Desperately in need of something to warm his insides, he rubbed his hands together and looked around, hoping that he would be in good luck today.

He was.

Lee Joon flicked his fringe to the side and walked down to the cafe in a corner of the street, his hands now in his pocket. He hummed a tune he caught playing on the radio a few days ago, making a mental note to himself to find out the title of that song, for it was too catchy to resist. From the outside, the interior of the cafe looked warm and comfy, just the way he wanted it to be. A small smile playing on his lips, Lee Joon entered the cafe, and ordered his coffee without hesitation.

"One Caffè Marocchin."

"Sir, we're having a promotion now, if you order-"

"Just give me a Caffè Marocchin."

He didn't blink at all. He was happy with himself - decisive enough not to sway under people's opinions. Deep down, he knew that he was wavering, but he could feel himself changing, and that was good.

At least, Yeon Seo would have said that it was good, if she had been willing to give him a second chance.

Joon grabbed the seat nearest to the window and watched as couples walk down the snow-covered street leisurely. Tapping his fingers leisurely on the table, he let his mind wander off temporarily, until the waitress appeared and placed his drink right under his nose. He laughed at the thick layer of cocoa powder dusted on his coffee, but drank it anyway, appreciating how the hot liquid made him feel a whole lot more energetic.

He heard the doors swish open, and a guy of good build entered. Donning a tight leather jacket, he was an instant head-turner as a few girls in the cafe couldn't help but look at him. Joon nearly mistook him for an idol, but realized that idols would probably be wearing disguise of some sort. This guy walked in too blatantly to be an idol. Nonetheless, he had a certain aura around him, and Joon couldn't tell what it was, until he caught the guy smiling sweetly at no one in particular.

Friendly. Sweet. Gentle. The kind that all girls loved.

The kind of guy that took Yeon Seo away from him.

Turning back to his coffee, Joon took another sip before glancing once again at the guy who had entered earlier. He still had a bright smile on, and ordered for a Chocolate Dalmation. Joon couldn't help but dismiss this guy as typical - in fact, too typical, and not worth his attention at all.

Kikwang couldn't help but feel a bit unwelcomed by the presence of a guy with chestnut-brown hair sitting by the window. He seemed to have been staring at him for some time, and looked anything but friendly. With a cup of Caffè Marocchin in his hand, the guy seemed to be oozing a wild, manly charm.

The same way Kikwang used to be.

Due to a lack of seats, he made do with sitting directly in front of the unfriendly-looking guy, although he wanted to be seated as far away from him as possible. Kikwang tugged on his jacket sleeve that was eventually rolling up, afraid that anyone noticed the one thing from his past that he desperately wanted to hide. Hands firmly clasped together, he waited for his coffee patiently as more customers entered the cafe, possibly looking for a warm respite in the harsh, cold weather.

And then with another swishing open of the doors, a petite girl caught Kikwang's attention.

He felt his heart thumping wildly when she came in hand in hand with another guy who appeared to be her boyfriend. She looked so much like Haneul, the resemblance was so striking that he started to doubt himself.

"Kikwang, she's dead. She can't come back to life."

Those words he had repeated to himself at least a thousand times in a day.

Those words that hurt.

Those words, he would do anything to stop them from becoming a reality if he could.

Thankfully, the coffee arrived and took his mind temporarily off things, as he took the cup into his hands and forced himself to stare at the carvings on the wooden table, as though it might erase all his memories. With a tight grip on the cup as though it might slip from his fingers if he dared to relax his grip, Kikwang sipped on his coffee and let the warm liquid calm him down as it washed his mouth and throat.

L.Joe was afraid.

Pulling his scarf tightly around him, he made sure his nerd glasses were still firmly sitting on his nose bridge as he entered the cafe he had found by accident. He made sure that no one could tell that he was Lee Byung Hun, and gave a sigh of relief when he didn't see anyone familiar nearby.

His past was scarred by too many people, even by the ones he loved, or he thought he loved. Trusting someone, anyone, proved too hard for him, for now at least.

Tapping his finger on his chin, he looked up at the menu. He would absolutely adore having a cup of iced caramel macchiato, had the weather not been so terribly chilly. Reading carefully through every single type of coffee offered, he smiled and ordered a Cafe Medici.

L.Joe was a careful observer, and the two guys sitting by the window were definitely not missed by those sharp eyes of him. He was less wary of the one sitting in front, even though his tight leather jacket showed off his muscles. The guy behind though, L.Joe scrutinized him as he picked a seat near a pot of flowers, resembled those bullies back in high school, and that thought alone scared L.Joe.

Ignore him, L.Joe, he can't do anything to you, he's not them.

He recognized the song playing in the cafe - DBSK's Hug. He would know. Of course he would.

It was her favourite song.

His thoughts were interrupted by the cup of coffee that appeared on his table, and he gratefully drank it, glad to have something else to think about. Looking at his Cafe Medici, L.Joe couldn't help but relate it to himself.

Harmless, ordinary, but in no way boring.

At least, that was what he thought of himself.
