Time does flies and the day that you’ve been dreading to come is happening tomorrow. It has been two days since you had your last talk with Donghae and you need to be honest that up to now, you’re still bothered by it. You haven’t talked to Kyuhyun about it—which makes it harder for you to decide.

Your train of thoughts was interrupted when you felt arms encircle your waist. You knew who it was. You wished that it was not him. But to your dismay, it was him. Kyuhyun. It’s not that you don’t like to see your boyfriend… It’s just that you’re really having a hard time coming up with the right decision, which you doubt will happen.

“Hey… Is something bothering you?” he asked while placing his chin on your shoulder

“No… What makes you say that?” you asked back while slowly removing his arms around you

“I know you, HyunMi… You’re hiding something~ Come on, say it…” he looked at you with concerned eyes, almost pleading for answers

“Uhhmmm…. I don’t know how to say this… but… uhmm…” you were stuttering, not knowing how to put things into words

“I’m always ready listen~ Whatever it is… I’m your boyfriend, remember?” he uttered calmly, already having a clue on what’s bothering you

*Saying the word ‘your boyfriend’ for the LAST time… I can sense where this is leading… I need to accept it though… That I need to get hurt… For her to be happy…* Kyuhyun thought;  feeling a big lump in his throat

“Oppa… I-I uhmm… remember the day when you allowed me to have a talk with Donghae-ssi? Well… uhmm… he asked me… how do I say this…??? UGH!!!” you were still stuttering

“Asked you to… come back to him? To stop the wedding? To have a happily ever after with him?” he tried not to sound bitter but he failed

“H-h-how did y-you k-k-know???” you were shocked to know that he knows

*Did Donghae informed him about his plan???* you were bewildered by Kyuhyun’s knowledge

“Well, it has always been like that, right? I mean, he was your first love after all…. It’s hard to forget your first love, you know?” he tried smiling as his manly tears slid down his white cheeks

You were hurt seeing him like this. It’s not that you pity him or what but you loved  him! You really did… It’s not hard to love someone who’s as sweet, caring and understanding as Kyuhyun. But it’s just that, even though how much you tried to make him take up all the space in your heart, there would still be a small part reserved for your “first love”

“No, it isn’t!!! YOU’RE MY FIRST LOVE! And you’re right, it’s hard to forget you…” you defended as your tears fell like his

“Me? How could that be possible? You met and loved him first than me… Now, tell me, is this how you’re planning to break up with me?” he grew angry hearing you say that he was your first love when he definitely know that it’s impossible

“Yes, you! I DID meet and love him first…. But it was a one-sided love… First love is something where two people share mutual feelings for each other~ And that’s what we have…. And no, I’m not planning to break up with you in this way….. I want you to hear me first before---“ you were busy explaining to him when he stopped you from saying the words he loathe to hear his whole life

“Don’t say it!!! IT’S ALREADY HURTING ME KNOWING THAT’S WHERE WE’RE LEADING TO…” he was dejected and just let his manly tears wet his face

“I won’t say it because it’s not going to happen… It’s just that we’re going to say goodbye to this upgraded relationship we have… I’m so sorry… I don’t want to hurt you by having doubt with my feelings for you… You deserve someone better than me… someone who can love you fairly…” you bowed down the floor with tears flooding your face

Soon, you felt arms wrapped around your body, slowly lifting you up. You remained glued on the floor, not wanting to come face to face with him. It hurts you, knowing that you’ve hurt someone as great as him. He lifted your chin and your eyes met. He was wearing his sweet smile with no mark of tears left on his cheeks. It made you want to cry more knowing he’s keeping everything to himself.

“Please don’t smile at me like that~ It’s hurting me more…” you looked down

“No need to feel hurt, HyunMi-ah~ I know that this would happen sooner but it turns out that it happened a little later. I won’t deny the fact that I’m hurt because I’ll only be lying to myself if I tell you that. But you know, there’s this feeling of fulfillment in me that makes me feel a lot better. I’m glad that I’ve fulfilled my dream to be with you even just for a while. Thank you for all the good memories you left me. I will treasure them forever.” he confessed his true feelings while trying to hold back his tears but he failed

You, on the other hand, was distressed by his confession that you can’t even utter a syllable. Instead, you quickly hugged him tight. At first, he was taken aback but soon, hugged you back. You, two, stayed in that position for how many seconds and he was the first one to pull back.

“We can still be like before, right? I can still be your oppa who’s always by your side, right?” he sincerely smiled

“Of course we can! Whatever happens, you’ll always be my knight in shining armor~ You’ll always be my first love…” you smiled wholeheartedly, feeling no burden within you

It wasn’t an ‘end’, it was just an ‘and’  of your relationship~ A continuation of your half a decade friendship. Yes, friendship… You were also hurt but… you know you made the right decision… And you were happy about it~

Hi there everyone~ I want to apologize for not updating for 3 months! OTL I am really busy with school stuff and all other things 

now~ One of them is SS5 MANILA!!!! hahaha I already have a ticket but I still don't have a proper lightstick~ I haven't even studied
