The Dragon Boy

Description

               Hello again! This is my second fic here, and for this one I will go in a slightly different direction. It won’t be a at all but rather…a short story. I hope that you’ll like it as I’ve had it in my mind for quite some time now.

               This is a post-apocalyptic fantasy. What this means is a fairy tale that takes place after “The end of the world”, caused by war, an epidemic, a natural disaster or anything else which has all but eradicated the human civilization.

All the banners are made by me. I checked for copyright over the images.

The header banner was made by me; I am no calligrapher but I did my best to make it look good. At least I know how to write Chinese characters xD

Foreword

                Wu Yifan was a boy like any other. He lived with his parents and went to school, had friends, had a normal life in Seoul. Everything in his life seemed normal and natural.

                Bit it all changed on his eighteen birthday when he realized that he wasn’t like the rest. He realized that he was stronger somehow, he was resilient to diseases; he had extra sharp eyesight and hearing. He realized that he could shape shift into a dragon! It scared him, terrified him when he transformed for the first time! He was huge, he had magnificent wings, he had black, shiny scales and breath of fire!

                He thought that this was a gift, a chance to do good to others! He loved helping people! He loved aiding others, he loved being kind and caring, he loved being there for those in need, making them laugh and cheering them up…and he never understood violence.

               When World War 3 broke out he couldn’t understand why. He couldn’t believe that people would kill others. His mind couldn’t grasp this concept of murder, of torture, of making someone unhappy. And then the unthinkable happened…

Thb I delayed reading this last chapter bcs I was too curious and checked out the end before, and..uh /sad/ /but happy/ and...asdfghjkl, ok :D

Chapter 4: This was an epic tale! I enjoyed it thoroughly and really cant believe it ended this way...such abrupt endings are like giving a thirsty man water but not allowing him to drink...especially since there is no answer as to why?

Still I Enjoyed it!!!

Chapter 4: Waaaah this was like a fairy tale :D I loved it <3 you don't see enough stories like this bit who shot him and wae??? Poor Yifan after all he did why would someone hurt him?? I can't imagine who it was D: great story though and I can't wait to read your new one :)

Okay, I´m glad I´m commenting after a good night´s sleep...
But still, Wow.
Wow.
This is so different from all the other fanfics I´ve ever read, obviously...:D I was a little reluctant, because it doesn´t consist any pairing and it´s post-apocalyptic AU, but I´m SO glad I started reading it. I just had to take a step back and remember what I used to dream about when I was younger...
All the time I was on the brinkg of tears, because all that years alone, all that pain...ohmyphuck...I´m still kind of incapable of writing proper comment :D The fact that I´m sickly Kris biased doesn´t help either...but even if it wouldn´t be Kris, I´d love it. I guess you put a lot of autobiographical characteristics into this, so it´s not even him, but you? I wish I could be there and show him how I...I´m sorry for everything he had to go trough his life.
Also I´m slowly discovering my fascination with dragons, wheter Kris was the initial reason or not, I love how you describe his dragon appearence. It´s all a dragon-fascinated person like me needs. Just...perfect dragon candy :D
I honestly couldn´t tear myself off of this, I´m so thrilled for another chapter!
Yifan, the last chance of humanity, last living thing knowing the old world...oh my god, why is it so sad? Not many things make me sad but...I´d go crazy if I were him. I hope he will find friends again, a family and he will be happy.
I promised myself I´d read more fantasy literature, and this is so beautiful?!? I´m so glad I found this, but I dont understand why it has only 5 subscribers and 2/3 comments? (and the ultra crappy bias/you fics have thousands...this angers me ok)

Chapter 2: I was like, making notes in my head to what to critisize or not critisize if I actually decide to comment (because I've promised myself to not comment any of your stories and I hate post apocalyptic plots so yeah.) BUT IT ALL WENT TO NEVERLAND because that's like my childhood fantasies coming true. I mean, not WWIII but the part where Kris builds everything himself and all and then the creatures that actually had me on the edge of my seat and then the people. It's amazing and I can't wait for the next update and I think your style has improved and yesh. Keep up the good work *o*
