The Rightful Heir
Description
**Honk!!!** Evey was startled with a loud sound from a sports car shining its bright lights straight at her. Jongin blows his horn long and loud at the idiot scholarship student standing in the middle of the croswalk. The light will turn green in a couple seconds and she just stands there. "Am I seeing things? Is that Jongin?" Evey unwraps the wet paper towel from her burnt hand and throws it at the window shield of his black Lamborghini. If the windshield wasn't there it would of hit him right on his face. She stuck her tongue out and heads for the subway station. "She is insane." He used the wipers to try to remove the disgusting mob of cocoa scented towels only it tore into peices and smeared all over his windshield. "She's gonna pay."
Background: Evey and Jongin attend classes at Seoul Prep Academy. Evey is the sole scholarship student and has been the focus of bullying for years. Finally Jongin sticks up for his one true friend. His father hears about this act from his son and demands that Jongin must learn about status and how those of lower status like Evey do not matter to someone like him. It seems foolish, it's a terrible flaw his father has, the arrogance though has brought in money and respect from many companies in Asia...and so Jongin accepts this reality. He is the heir of K Conglomerate and a boy of his status has no need for a girl of her status...
--Meet the Characters--
Jongin - genius, prodigy, and heir to K conglomerate. Father has raised him to be a leader and live up to his high status. His father enforced his teachings of understanding their status and those "below" him. His mother taught him to love no matter what one's background/status is. At 15, his mother passed away, and L became disconnected from his emotions, he became unattached, he became what we know as an "ice prince."
Evelyn Skye aka Hana - kind, shy, honest. The daughter of Lady Kim's servant. When Evey was 8 years old, she saved Lady K from a suicide attempt. Lady K has a terminal cancer and comes in and out of remission, she soon fell into a deep depression. Evey and her mother took care of her through the years. Evey became Jongin's best friend during their childhood.
Luhan - Jongin's cousin on his father's side, kind and charming, many girls want to be with him and guys want to be like him.
Uee - likes Jongin; daughter of a potential partner company for K conglomerate
Lawyer Suroo - friend and lawyer of Lady K, has the will written by Lady K that states K-con's shares and how it is divided with the members of the K Conglomerate families.

Foreword
Flashback...
Evey and Jongin are running along the shores of the white sands while Lady K, Lawyer Suroo, and Shinhye (Evey's mom) are watching the two youngseters happily. Lady K recalls a memory of her conversation with Evey when she was 8:
"I want to be just like you when I grow up!" Evey brightly said. "I want to be kind to everyone and run a big company like yours, and have a handsome son just like Jongin!"
Lady K smiled, she must stay strong to raise her son, the next heir to her family's company. K Conglomerate owns commercial real estates and several resorts all over Asia. Their headquarters is in Seoul and their names are in the most succesful malls in the Gangnam and Cheondungdam districts. Her father built the company from the ground up, and Lady K was determined to continue his legacy with her son.
About 4 years after their stroll on the beach, Lady K began falling dangerously ill. Her cancer was slowing her down, and a will needed to be drawn. The family knew this time would come, Lady K's cancer was terminal and she had only a few months to live.
While Lady K was rushed to the hospital, Co-President Lee, Jongin's father and Lady Kim's husband, was speaking with the headmaster of Seoul Prep. He was fuming, how could his son fight over a servant girl. He demanded that Jongin never speak to Evey and asked Shinhye and Evey to leave the estate. Lady K was so weak, she could not stop her husband. When she opened her eyes the following day, her friend and her daughter were swept away from the estate and her life.
Lady K's treatment was successful and she got better once again. She lived quietly for 3 more years, her son turned 17 and smiled at the pocket watch that contained a photo of him on one side and where a watch face should be was a photo of Evey and Shinhye. She searched many years for her friends, but her husband kept them hidden from her and Jongin. Through the years Jongin has changed, a lot, he was void of emotion, and when he did show emotion, it seemed like an act to make his mother smile. Although she knew that her son cared a lot for her, when it came to everyone else he was detached. His father's influence runs deep in him, he is arrogant, his heart was cold...like an ice prince.
