The only thing I have to remember him by is almost everything.

In my room, in the new apartment I've been living in for almost thirteen years now since I moved, I have a box of toys that I never had the chance to return to him. In my desk, placed neatly in a folder, are a bunch of drawings and cards that I received from him. I have the umbrella he lent me, while we were outside and the rain began to pour, in the back of my closet, collecting dust. I still have a macaroni necklace he made for me, where he arranged them in the shape of a heart. And I still have the scar on my right hip when he pushed me and I fell down the stairs. I have memories of the time we spent together – laughing, talking, and innocently falling in love. I can how we would swap clothes from time to time because we were the same height, and having sleepovers at his house or my own – talking into the night until we fell asleep in each other’s arms. I can even remember that one day where we carved our names into a tree, with the intention of writing ‘best friends’ after but etched a small heart around it instead.

I have almost everything to remember him by – everything but his face.

And now – it’s been thirteen years since I saw him. He is no longer the same energetic, short, and dorky little boy I knew when I was five. He’s older, taller, undoubtedly more handsome, and he has probably moved on. 

haha, there's a little bit to give you guys an idea of what this fic is gonna be about ;o i'm planning on writing more than one chapter (YAY!) because i felt that it would appeal to more readers, since i was told my last one had story potential and it seemed like people liked stories, not just oneshots! 

i'm not sure if i'm writing this all in first pov or second - because i'm more used to reading second pov for scenarios and stuff but if you guys prefer one over the other don't hesitate to let me know ^^
