Seung Hyun and Seo Ryung are each other's first love. Seo Ryung's father is a rich mafia tycoon and she lives a very privileged but dangerous life. Seung Hyun is the college heartthrob who fell for her during their first year at college, but he lives a normal, average life with no frills attached. After college, Seung Hyun breaks up with Seo Ryung so that she would not give up her high life for him. Years later, with Seo Ryung all grown up and ready to take over her father soon, her father sends his most capable man who had been managing the family business in Japan over the years to be her advisor and bodyguard. That man happened to be Seung Hyun.

Prologue: Her hands were soft as he held them. Her rosy cheeks started to blush as he leaned in, her big, doe eyes staring softly back at him through her long eyelashes. She was the brightest thing in his life. “Close your eyes.” he whispered, gently. She seemed a little hesitant at first, but eventually closed them. “I think I know...” her pink-tinted lips broke into a little smile. He laughed and kissed her softly on her pillow-like lips. She opened her eyes, “See, I knew it.” “Oh, now you’ve just gone and ruined the mood!” he poked her gently. He couldn’t ever imagine a day without her, but he knew it had to come to an end someday. He knew he was going to have to hurt her for her to let him go. He just didn’t know if he could do it when the day comes. Hurting her was going to be the hardest thing for him to do. She meant everything to him. His first and forever love. She was his whole world, his weakness, his kryptonite. -------------------------- He was the best thing that ever happened in her life. As his warm hands took hold of hers, she felt the rush of comfort, of security, feeling she thought she would never be ale to feel. When she was with him, she felt safe. As if all the evil in the world couldn’t get to her, couldn’t touch her. She wanted to feel this way forever. “You can’t leave me unless i leave you first, promise?” she told him. “Promise.” He smiled that dashing smile of his. “Do you think we can make it through all of this?” she asked, hoping he would nod and tell her not to worry. But all he did was look at her with those mesmerizing eyes of his and brushed a strand of her hair off her face. Deep down, she knew that one day all of this was going to come to an end. And when that day comes, she was going to have to up all the pain and piece her heart back together by herself. He wasn’t going to be there to do it for her. She couldn’t bear to think of living life without him in it. He meant everything to her, he was her entire universe. She knew that her world would come crashing down on her when the day comes. He was her only weakness that she didn’t want to lose, he was her kryptonite.
