“Dad what are you doing here?” Kai let go of me and sit up

“You skipped work to sleep????” His dad yells angrily

“Dad I was---” Kai stand up only to be slap by his father. *Oh my god* I push the two blanket off, I wants to stand up and bow to apologize, but my legs give up on me. I didn’t land on the ground since Kai caught me just in time.

“I’m so sorry father in law. It’s all my fault. I caught a fever and Kai-sshi wanted to look after me that why he didn’t go to work. It’s not his fault I’m so sorry” I bows to him, hoping he will forgive Kai.

“Oh you’re sick?” father in law seem to soften a bit.

“Yes I’m so sorry” I bow again

“Stop” Kai grab my head pull it into his chest so that I will stop bowing. Father in law seem to be in thought

“Kai go buy porridge for her to eat” Kai hesitated, but I look at him and mouthed ‘go’

“I will be right back” Kai exit the room leaving me standing with father in law.

“Come to the kitchen I need to talk to you” father in law leave first and I follow behind. I sit down waiting for him to start

“How are you and Kai?” father in law ask staring straight into my eyes to make sure I won’t lie to him.

“Kai-sshi treats me very nice”

“Min-young I can see that you still address Kai like a stranger. Your parents are getting worry. Your dad wants me to tell you that if you want you can divorce with Kai they will always welcome you back to live with them okay? You will not find happiness living with a person you have no feeling for” father in law look at me with a concern look.

“I—” I want to say that I’m okay

“Just think about it okay? I have a meeting to go to. I thought Kai was being lazy and wanted to come and give him a beating, but he was taking care of you. I can see that he care for you a lot” I don’t know if it was my imagination or father in law seem to try to tell me something.

“Please take care of your health father in law” I walk him to the door, he gentle pay my shoulder before leaving. When I was about to close to door I see Kai running. His forehead full of sweat, he hugs the porridge in his arm.

“I ran to the nearest restaurant, here eat it before it gets cold” Kai pants try to slow down his even breath. Why does he do this for me? He can just drive and buy one so he doesn’t to run. He caught my stare and smile

“Thank you” my emotions are mix, I feel bad for making him so tired, but also happy to know that he cares about me.

“Let go inside” Kai suggest

“Oh I forgot I’m so sorry” I panic, how can I forget?

“It’s not your fault so stop apologizing” Kai pat my head before heading inside. The porridge was delicious, Kai just watch as I eat like as if he looks away I will stop eating or something.

*you’re a jerk* my phone ring, that’s Sehun ringtone

“Hello?”

“Hey where are you? Don’t tell me that you forgot that we have to meet up today” uh-oh I totally forgot I froze

“Who said that I forgot? I’m on my way for your information” I run to my room and grab a jacket

“Yeah right liar” Sehun scoff

“I will be there in five” I hang up, omg no wonder I feel like I was supposed to do something. Kai is already at the door with his car key in his hand.

“Thank you so much, Sehun doesn’t sound too happy”

Thank to Kai excellent driving skill we arrived at the Coffee place in 5 mins. Right when Kai stop the car I jumps out and run into the coffee shop.

“Sehun!!!” I sit down across from him and try to calm down my breath.

“You totally forgot and just run here last minute”

“Wrong Kai took me here”

“Whatever so the people showed up today and decorate my house and it looks so…Pretty~~~” Sehun smile

“I’m the one who design it after all” I said proudly

“So the party is tomorrow you sure you can invite you-know-who to come?” Sehun whisper as if afraid that his secret person is somewhere in this shop.

“Yes of course. In fact I will make the call right now” I pull out my phone to dial the number that wasn’t easy to get at all.

“Hey long time we haven’t talk” I greet the person on the other phone line “Um…listen tomorrow my friend is throwing a party at his house. Remember Sehun? Yeah yup that’s him” I watch as Sehun went crazy when he hear that the person still remember him.

 “Yes its tomorrow at 7 remembers to come or else…” I said in my scary and deep voice

“Okay I will come don’t worry” that person chuckled before hanging up

“Yes!!!!!!!!!”Sehun dance a weird dance make the whole coffee shop turns around and stare at him. I cover my face in embarrassment.

“Thank you thank you~~~~” Sehun grab my hand and make me dance with him “Why are your hand so hot?” Sehun stop dancing

“Because I have a fever” I said in the matter-of-fact tone

“Oh my god, why didn’t you tell me? Are you okay?” Sehun happiness completely went away

“I’m fine; you worry too much. I will be fine by tomorrow”

“I will take you home. You need to rest” Sehun quickly pay the drink. I follow him outside, I notice a very familiar car parking to the left.

“Isn’t that Kai’s car?” Sehun ask pointing straight at the car I was looking at

“But didn’t he go home already?” I ask myself. I approach the car to see Kai sitting in the driver seat playing with his phone. I knock on the window and laugh when Kai freaked out.

“Kai-sshi why are you here? I thought you went home” I ask, Kai roll down the window

“I didn’t want you to walk home” Kai unlock the car

“Sehun could’ve taken me home” I point to Sehun behind me

“Just go in already you dumb head” Sehun smack my head

“Hey I’m not dumb”

“Kai, would you excuse us?” Sehun didn’t wait for Kai to answer and just pull me to his car.

“Girl you are blind and deaf at the same time” Sehun shake his head “Kai is trying to tell you something, don’t you see?” I look at him totally confuse “Okay before you guys married have you ever seen Kai before?”

“Yes”

“Do you catch him sometimes stare at you or did he ever try to talk to you?”

“Well he did looked at me a few times and we talked a few times” I recall the times where Kai come up and start conversations with me.

“Kai steals glances at you; tried to talks to you and then agreed to marry you. Don’t you see where am going with this?”

“Not really” I said truthfully

“Kai loves you”

“What are you saying? Kai is not in love with me. We both just trying to please our parents”

“Kai was jealous of you coming to my house alone that’s why he asked to come in and even ditch his work. He took you here and waits outside so he can take you back. And what up with you calling him ‘Kai-sshi’? He’s your husband at least call him by his name” Sehun exploded; I stood there trying to process everything he just said.

“If you still don’t believe me” Sehun push me against his car and lean close to me face is he trying to kiss me?

“Um…what are you doing?”  I ask, Sehun come closer and closer. Next thing I know Sehun was on the floor holding onto his stomach.

“Let’s go” Kai grab my hand and pull me away. I look back at Sehun, who smirk and mouthed ‘I told you’

Kai slams the door opens, I follow quietly behind. “Kai-sshi”

“Stop calling me that” Kai shout “We been married for a year already and you still address me like a stranger. If you really don’t like me at all then I think we should divorce. I can’t stand it anymore” I feel like something stabs my heart when I hear the word ‘divorce’ coming out of Kai’s mouth. Honestly, I don’t hate living with Kai it’s actually the opposite. I like how I get to see him every day. Kai always caring toward me make me feel like the happiest person on earth. I do have feelings toward him that’s why I agreed to marry him instead of other ones that my parents selected. However I would never expect him to have any feeling back at all.

“Why are you acting like this?” I run into his room yell at him, Kai is shock I never yell at him, but right now I’m very frustrated. I never thought of the day that we would fight like this. “You were the one who told me to call you that”

“What are you talking about?” Kai loks confuse

“You told me to give you some time so I’m giving you time. You seem to be uncomfortable so I call you Kai-sshi” I recall how Kia told me that we need some time to adjust

“….” Kai didn's say anything and just stood there

“Sehun told me that you like me, I was happy for a moment, but I guess he’s wrong” I wipe the tear that succeeds of escaping onto my cheeks. Next thing Kai kiss me

“I’m sorry” Kai whisper into my ear as he hug me.

“So you like me?” I ask

“No I love you I was the one who ask me parents to let me marry you. I love you so much that I begged your parents to let me take care of you” I was shock my parents never told me anything at all.

“Then why didn’t you kiss me on our wedding day?” I ask

“Because I want our first kiss to be romantic, not because we have to” I didn’t know he have a romantic side.

“So you think kiss me while we arguing is romantic?” I tease

“No, but I just couldn’t wait any longer” Kai blushes

“Well here a funny story this is not our first kiss” I smile at the confuse look on Kai face.

“Let see if you remember this” I lean in and kiss him. I put my arm around his head and deepen the kiss. Kai hands immediately went around my waist. I kiss him like the other day when he was drunk.  I pull away and stare at him to see if he remembers.

“I don’t remember; lets continue till I remember” Kai connect our lips once again; he gentle lift me up and place me down onto his bed. Suddenly, Kai pulls away

“I remember now. Was it yesterday when I was drunk?” Kai ask with eyes wide open.

“Yup” I’m happy that he remembers

“Min-young will you sleep with me tonight?”

“Yes” I give him a quick kiss before going to my room to change into my pajamas. I was brushing my hair; Kai came out of nowhere and lfit me up bride style

“Kai let me down” I hit his chest, Kai stop his track and stare at me.

“You called me Kai” Kai act as if it’s a miracle that I call him by his name. I blush and look away from him. Kai carry me to his room and close the door.

“Kai, Sehun party is tomorrow. Do you want to come with me?” I ask when Kai place me down on his bed. Kai lie down on his side and face me.

“Sure” Kai agree, I mile happily before snuggled into his chest. He place on arm under my head and the other on my waist. Just like that we both fell asleep.

 

Next day

“Come on Kai we need to get ready for Sehun party” I jump on the bed

“But it’s barely two”

“No its five already this is why I told you to not take a nap earlier” I bounce on the bed hoping that would annoys him and it did. Kai grab my arms and pull me down while he on top of me. Kai plant a quick kiss on my forehead before going to get ready. *I have to get ready too* I run to my room and put on the red dress that I already picked out. I put some make up on and red lipstick. The dress is a bit revealing; there a big hole in the back, but right now it’s the only one that I have. *I’m thirsty* I walk to the kitchen to drink some water.

“Min-young can you---” I hear something drop to the floor. I turn to see Kai standing with his mouth hang open. Kai is wearing a black tuxedo, he look so handsome in it. I always knew he was good looking, but today he just look even more handsome.

“Oh let me help you” I notice Kai holding onto a tie, I guess he needs help with it. “My mom taught me how to tie it when I was little. I always wanted to have a husband that wears suits so I can help him tie it everyday”

“Please tell me you’re not wearing that dress to the party” Kai finally spoke

“Why not? It’s my only dress” I pout

“The back is---” Kai was interrupted by my phone ringing.

“Sehun calm down, just talk like how you normally would stop freaking out you will scare that person away. Okay okay I will be there in five minutes” I hang up; Kai is already waiting at the door. Kai drove pretty fast to Sehun house. Sehun is waiting for me on his porch.

“Sehun go in there and talk to that person now”

“But…”

“No buts, I promise you that everything will be fine” I pull him into a hug. Sehun seem to calm down a bit and went back inside his house to look for the love of his life.

“Let’s go in” Kai offer me his arm so I took it. Everyone turn and stare at us two, I’m not good with attention. Kai gently hold onto my hand; I look at him smiling. I don’t know why, but when I’m with Kai I feel perfectly fine.

“So which of these ladies is the lucky one?” Kai ask scanning the room

“Huh?” I ask in confusion

“Which one is the one that Sehun going to propose to?” Kai ask again

“hahah” I burst out laughing “Oh I forgot to tell you—” I was interrupted by Sehun’s high pitch scream

“Yes!!!!!!!!!! Min-young HE said yes” Sehun shouts, standing beside him is the adorably blushing Luhan. I laugh as Luhan try to calm Sehun down, but right now nothing can calm him down

“Sehun had been in love with Luhan since forever. Luhan was an exchange student from Beijing China who happens to be in the same class as Sehun. Sehun fell in love at first sight and he finally has enough courage to propose to Luhan” I explain to Kai.

“Luhan this is Min-young the one who decorated this party and the one that gave me enough courage to propose to you” Sehun blushes as he held Luhan hand in his.

“Thank you” Luhan voice is barely above a whisper

“You welcome. I had to make him propose because day and night all he talks about is ‘Luhan this’ ‘Luhan that’ I can’t stand it anymore” I smirk at the flustered Sehun. He won’t dare to hit me in front of Luhan.

“Oh Luhan this is Kai my husband” I point toward Kai, Luhan and Kai shook each other hand. Kai suddenly take off his blazer and put to around me.

“What’s wrong?” I ask waiting for Kai to answer

“See I told you Luhan she is so dumb, she doesn’t know anything” Sehun shake his head, Luhan smile as in agree

“Hey I’m not dumb. I don’t get it” I look at those three for answer.

“Forget it I’m going to get a drink Kai come with me” Sehun nod toward Kai. Those two walks toward the food section

“Luhan please tell me what just happened? I don’t get it” I plead

“Kai was jealous because some of the guys over were checking you out. Your back is a bit revealing don’t you think?” Luhan explain. Oh I get it

“Why can’t he just tell me? Guys, I will never understand them” I sign

“Hey check out those two handsome guys over there” some old ladies whispers to each other

“Yeah the one is the left is so y” 

“I like the one on the right he’s cute”

“Excuse me that y one is my husband and the cute on is this guy fiancée so back off” I point to Luhan ring that Sehun just gave him. The two ladies walk away in embarrassment.

“My back I can cover with Kai’s jacket, but those two faces we can’t cover with a jacket”

“Masks would work” Luhan joke

“Good one Luhan, you know those ghost mask that the face long and it look like this?” I imitate the ghost mask, Luhan burst out laughing at my imitation.

“Looks like you two are having fun” Kai and Sehun comes back with drinks in their hand. Kai gave me a punch while Sehun give Luhan an apple cider. Luhan take a slip of his drink

“Kai let’s go buy some masks” I ask, glancing at Luhan. Luhan choke on his drink and start to laugh and cough at the same time. I laugh along with him

“Luhan are you okay?” Sehun worriedly hand Luhan his water

“Kai let’s leave before Sehun accused me of killing his Luhan”

“You’re leaving already?” Luhan have a sad look on his face, I try to finish my drink before leaving

“Let them from what I see they will have their first night together” Sehun smirk evilly, I choke my drink and cough violently.

“Got you back, that’s what you get for making my Luhan cough” Sehun smile happily, Luhan blushes at his side.

“Are you okay?” Kai gently pat my back

“Oh really? Luhan I forgot to tell you that Sehun use to-----” Sehun cover my mouth and threaten that if I said anymore he will kill me and feed me to sharks.

“What is it?” Luhan ask suspiciously

“No no no it’s just something in the past” Sehun

“Bye guys” I grab Kai and pull him along with me. After we took few step, I heard Luhan voice “You were a pole dancer?”

“He was a pole dancer????” Kai ask in disbelief

“Yup” I laugh

“Min-young how did you and Sehun meet?”

“We went to the same high school. To be honest, I had a crush on Sehun”

“WHAT?” Kai stop walking and stare at me

“It just a small little crush nothing more and it was long time ago”

“And now you guys are friends”

“Yup he’s my best friend; why, are you jealous?” I playfully nudge Kai shoulder

“No, I’m not” Kai continue to walk to the door. He opened the door for me before going to his side. We didn’t talk at all the whole car ride, but it wasn’t awkward. I open the door and place Kai’s jacket in the closet.

“I’m hungry” I go into the kitchen to make some food. While I was making food I feel a hand wrap around my waist. Kai place his chin on my shoulder.

“You’re back is really y” Kai whisper into my ears, make me shiver. Kai turn me around so that he can kiss me. I turn off the fire and wrap my hand behind his neck. Kai pulls away and carry me to his bedroom actually now it’s our bedroom. *how did Sehun predicted this?*
