The doe eyed boy stares at his solemn-faced companion and wonders why he won't fly.

"Is swinging like flying, Lu?"
"Somewhat."
"Then I want to fly."
Luhan smiles, eyes twinkling, as he and Sehun swing on an abandoned play set worn with age.

"Is dying like flying, Lu?"
"Somewhat. But don't die okay, Sehun? I want us to fly together. Promise?"
"Promise."
Two silhouettes lean into each other, breathing with the other's heartbeat.

"Lu..."
"Yes, Sehun?"
"Do you ever feel like you just want to fly away?"
"Only with you."
"Why me?"
"Because."
"Because what?"
"Just because."
Luhan glances at Sehun's pain-contorted face, lying on the hospital bed, ad his heart shatters. The doctors had told him he wouldn't last the night, but Luhan had chosen to think otherwise.
Sehun would finally fly.

Doe eyes stare forlornly at the figure outlined against plain white hospital sheets, breathing raggedly. A single tear drops from closed eyes, containing wisps of warm days and warmer nights, of chaste kisses and tight embraces, and then Sehun is gone. Flown with the wind.
"You broke your promise, Hun. You flew without me."
Luhan sobs into Sehun's unmoving chest, staining the sheets with salty brokenness.

"I love you Sehun."
Luhan's words are snatched away by the whistling wind as he steps off the edge of the building. For a moment, Luhan feels like he's flying. Flying back into Sehun's warm embrace.
