Foreword
"Mommy...? Do I have a daddy?" Kaiden asked out of the blue.
I blinked.
"Of course... Why do you ask?"
"Nothing... But where is he?"
"Somewhere close yet far away, why?"
"So he's in Heaven?" Kaiden blinked.
"Of course not, Minnie. He almost went there, but God said it wasn' time yet and his guardian angels helped him..." I force a smile.
"Were you with him when he almost went to heaven?"
"No... I was with you!"
"Next time, you have to stay with him and tell him that you're sorry and that I want a daddy!"
I'm sorry, Kaiden... He should be the one apologizing. He should be the one being scolded. I'm sorry for taking a father-figure away from your life. I'm sorry for not being a very good mommy. I hate how much I still love him.
