"no, it was mine." kris shakes his head, taking the shorter's hands, tracing circles using his thumb.

"i was the one who decided it was okay to screw around with-"

"don't say that. i forgive you. it's my fault. i didn't give you enough attention, did i?" he smiles although his eyes were glossy. and baekhyun feels the guilt weighing down and suffocating him increasing by tenfold. 

"no, i-"

"and if i ever do that again, and you feel unloved and ignored, please tell me. i just do not want to lose you again."

"you'll never lose me. not again." baekhyun says, shoving off the ache and hurt from his hurt. 

"i swear i'll try. i'll try to love you again." baekhyun promises, "i'm not sure when i will fall again but it doesn't matter, does it? as long as we're together?"

"as long as we're together." kris choruses, a small smile on his face as he caresses baekhyun's cheek. 

"i won't give up on us. we'll work through this. we'll be fine." baekhyun smiles, tears blurring the sight of the taller in front of him.

"is he asleep?' kris asks, voice barely audible, peeking into their makeshift nursery (i.e their walk in closet). 

"yeah." baekhyun nods, eyes still trained on the baby in his arms. 

kris wraps his arms around baekhyun, who still has the dozing baby in his arms. 

"i love you."

"i love you more."
