Looking At You
Description
Well, I'm not good at descriptions.. so just read the story ok? :)
Foreword
It was afternoon, as people shuffled on and off the train, talking into their phones, running to their trains, and spacing out, staring at the concrete opposite them.
I stepped off the train, with a scribbled over map in hand. It was my first time in Seoul, and I was absolutely no good with directions or maps at all.
“Ladies and Gentleman... Introducing... got something for y’all,” Seungri’s VVIP blared from my phone. I answered it hurriedly, “LINDAAAAAAAAAA, HELP ME,” I cried into the phone.
“And I thought you were good at directions, you always got outstanding results in geography,” Linda stated to me calmly.
“But that was on paper, and requires no movement whatsoever, ANYWAY I DON’T SPEAK/ READ KOREAN, you noticed that?”
“Why’d you even come to Korea then, geez,”
“CAUSE YOU’RE MY BEST-EST FRIEND IN THE WORLD... not really... “ I trailed off
“BWOH? YOU WANNA DIE? Repeat that last part again SLOWLY!”
“Ahh, Linda, SARANGHAE!”
I heard her laughing softly, “Ok, what stop are you at?”
“Er, well you see, I don’t exactly know…”
“What do you see?”
“Signs with arrows, circles and lines.”
I heard Linda sigh, “Great help you are,”
“I know right?”
“BEEP BEEP BEEP” *Linda disconnected*, flashed on my screen. And I spazzed, jumping up and down in annoyance. But then I felt embarrassed for myself, and said aloud, “OMG, DID I JUST DO THAT?!” and face palmed myself. I peeked over my map, and glanced around to see if anyone saw my little “problem”, I sighed with relief, as no one was staring and pointing at me.
Until, someone tapped my right shoulder, and simply said, “I saw you.”
