Yoona was cleaning up the table which she and Yuri had used to eat lunch together, but Yuri had said that she had to go out on a date with Minho, leaving Yoona with the dishes. Not that she mind –it was her house so SHE had to take care of it– but it would have been nice of her to at least help her carry the plates and cups to the kitchen sink.

When Yoona was about to start washing, her phone started to vibrate. She pulled it out of her jeans pocket and slid the icon, pressing her phone to her ear, she greeted the caller,

“Yoona? Hi, this is Yeonhee.”

Yoona’s voice suddenly changed when she finally realized that her friend was calling her, “Oh Yeonhee-ah, How are you? Why did you call all of the sudden?” Yoona asked, trapping her phone between her ear and shoulder as she washed the dirty dishes.

Yeonhee kept on talking through the phone for what it seemed like an hour, explaining this and that.

 “So you got everything?” Yoona turned the tap closed and took off the rubber gloves off her hands.

Yoona’s eyes brighten as a smile stretched on her lips, “Really? Thank you! Thank you so much!” Yoona blabbed on and on till she heard the main door open and closed.

Luhan was home.

“Okay talk to you later, bye.” Yoona ended the call, dried her hands and rushed to the living room. Luhan was sitting comfortably on the couch, being the lazy pup he had always known to be, he sat there, stone-faced with the TV remote in his hand, changing the channel until Yoona plopped down next to him with a welcoming smile on her face.

“Hey, didn’t realize you were home.” Luhan said, pulling her closer to him as he wrapped his arm around her and rested his cheek on top of her head.

“Didn’t you hear the water running?” Yoona asked, but Luhan only shook his head, “Nope,”

Their conversation ended there. Sounds from the television were the only sounds they could hear. But to Yoona, she could have sworn that her thoughts were screaming to her to tell Luhan the news.

“Hey, Lu. I have something to say,” Yoona started. Luhan hummed as his response. So she continued, “Do you remember when I told you that I want to visit my mom someday?”

Luhan was literally frozen. Why couldn’t he avoid this topic? No matter what he does, he couldn’t run away.

“Yea,” Luhan managed to answer, hoping that Yoona didn’t sense the nervousness of that tone.

Yoona sat up straight and faced him; her face was literally glowing in happiness.

“I’m going to Paris, to see her. I got a phone call from my friend there who goes for college there and she helped me get all the information I need.” Yoona confessed.

Right then and there, Luhan swore that he couldn’t breathe. He didn’t know what to do, how she was going to handle the truth. But all he knew was that he would never let her face it alone. He promised to be by her side and he would.

If she wanted to go, then so would he.

“I’ll go with you,” Luhan blurted out, “Mama and Papa sent me money to travel, cause they want me to go and have fun plus I have saved money to y’know, ever since Taeyeon hired me.”

“Are you sure? You wanted to go with me?” Yoona asked. Luhan nodded, “I can’t let you be alone in Paris, Yoon.” Luhan reasoned.

“Okay if that’s what you want,” Yoona trailed,

“Yes, I do,”  Luhan prompted, so quickly that it caught Yoona off guard, she didn’t know if Luhan was excited to go to Paris with her or he was just like  that all of the sudden.

“By the way Yoon, what sort of information did your friend give you?” Luhan had to ask, he was scared that she knew so soon, then again, there was no way out now. It was either she faced the real truth or continue to live in a fantasy. Both of them hurt Luhan’s heart, but he knew that it would hurt Yoona even more.

“Nothing much, but enough to know my dad’s whereabouts. Where he stayed, where he went to visit and all does stuff. But all the places were in French so I have to double check with Yeonhee.” Yoona replied.

“Oh, so when are we leaving?”Luhan continued with his questions. He couldn’t help but ask it was all his nervousness talking –asking the questions. He swore that his tongue was beyond his control like how he felt so disorientated with his body. It was so numb. Too scared to move, mainly because all of the things and happenings that he hoped wished and prayed not to happen, might have happened. And he was worried of Yoona mostly.

“In two weeks time, two days after the long break start. We can shop all the things we need in those two days. It’s a good thing I saved enough money to buy tickets for the both of us plus the money you have, we’ll have a good time. I promised,” Yoona got up and walked to her room, making her voice sound fainter by the time her sentence ended.

But when Yoona said, “Good time,” Luhan couldn’t help but feel so lost and confused. He had promised to take care of her, promised not to hurt her and promised to make her smile but all of this was making Luhan’s head dizzy.

What was he suppose to do?

He had to hold his urge to let out a scream and multiple of curse words off his mouth.

He really needed advice… and extra money.

He grunted even more when he realized that he would be using all of the money that his parents had given him. It was enough plus the money he earned from Taeyeon when he started working at SONE’S three weeks ago. But his mom had always taught him to prepare extra money when he was going for a trip.

He had to plan a lot of things. Planning was another skill that Luhan was obviously lacking, it was one of the reasons why Luhan had problem trying to find a place to stay in the first place.

“Yoona, what did you get us both into?” Luhan murmured, shaking his head before sighing halfheartedly. “Now, I feel so gloomy,” Luhan continued his mumblings.

“Damn,”
