Love Me, Forget Me-Not

PROLOGUE

“What did he say?” Minho got up from his seat in the waiting room nervously. He eyed Kibum who just came out from the doctor’s room. He placed his big, heavy hands on his shoulder.

“I’m pregnant.” Kibum said coldly. His face was expressionless, his dark orbs showed no passion nor emotion at all. He looked like a broken doll with blank eyes.

Minho was shocked, really shocked. No word could come out from his mouth. Kibum’s words earlier were like a thunderbolt for him. The words slapped him right on his face. He felt powerless, his knees were limp. He palmed his face and gave Kibum a worried glance. Kibum noticed his reaction and he quickly said something.

“It’s fine. No need to worry. I’ll just come in again and ask him to abort it.” He said. His words are sharp, and cold, and he was still staring blankly.

“You’re gonna... What?” Minho’s eyes widen when he heard that.

“I’m gonna abort it.”

“No, you won’t.”

“Yes, I will.”

“No Kibum, please don’t, you can’t...” Minho shook his head abruptly in desperation.

“Yes, I can and I’m gonna do it.”

“Please Kibum... I beg you, please don’t do that, we can go through this problem together...  I’ll find a job and-“

“And what? Goddammit Minho! What can you do? Feeding me and the baby with rocks? Saying that you love me everyday? Showering me with your sweet little nothings? What else can you do!” Kibum yelled at him. He completely lost his control. He didn’t let Minho to say something because he quickly opened his mouth again.

“For God’s Sake, I’m a man! A man should not be pregnant! And oh God... We’re just seventeen! We’re still in highschool! You can easily say those craps because you’re not the one who’ll be responsible for this baby!” Tears started to rolling down to his cheeks now.

“I’m sorry Kibum, I’m really sorry... But I promise you, I’ll be responsible, I won’t run away.” Minho approached him slowly.

“Don’t you get it? I don’t need your responsibility! We’re not a couple, I don’t even love you, and the most important thing is I don’t want your baby! I hate you, I hate you and your stupid baby! God... This is so not fair, after all these times, finally... Finally Jonghyun said that he loves me... Why do I have to face all of these things...” Kibum was sobbing desperately, his hands covering his mouth.

What Kibum said earlier stabbed Minho’s heart straightly. He breathed out and tried to redeem the pain. He always loved Kibum, eventhough he knew that Kibum would never loved him back. No matter what he said, no matter what he did, There was no way Kibum would ever looked at him. Because he knew,  he knew Kibum well, and he knew that Jonghyun was the one who owned his whole heart. But this time he had to do something, he would never let him kill the baby. He knew that Kibum was afraid, just as afraid as he was.

Minho brought himself closer to Kibum and pulled him to his embrace. Kibum buried his face on his chest. He was still sobbing and he hit Minho’s chest many times, saying that he hated him, how much he didn’t want to keep the baby, and everything. But Minho wouldn’t let him go, instead he wrapped his muscular arms around his body tighter, whispering  ‘I’m sorry’ and kissed his forehead. He didn’t know what would happen to them next, he just knew one thing, He would protect Kibum no matter what happened.

Well, looks like it’s gonna be a long and tiring year for those two.
