I pulled my hoodie closer to me as I walked through the winter snow. The white snowflakes fell all around me, covering the streets around me, covering the grass, and even falling onto my hair and clothes. I felt my body numb till the bone. I felt my skin growing paler and paler from the winter. I felt everything around me slowly turning into a blur. And it wasn’t long before everything went hazy, and I was on the ground…

It was Christmas Eve. Lights were shining, snow was falling, and everyone was at home, safe and sound. If they’re not at home, then they’re on their way home.

One of the people who were on their way home for Christmas was Choi Minho. A 20-something year-old photographer, he always expected to make his pictures “tell a story”. And so far, he hasn’t got any pictures like that.

He sighed. It was always like this. His new career as a photographer isn’t really successful, but he has high hopes on making it become one. It was part of his New Year’s resolutions: graduate from college and be a successful photographer. So far, the only thing he achieved was graduate from college. With average marks.

Just as he passes the sidewalks of SPAO, he carefully saw two pairs of legs lying at the snow. He thought the owner of the legs was probably making snow angels, so he shrugged and walked past her. But it wasn’t until he got a good look at her that he realized she wasn’t making snow angels.

She was unconscious.

He quickly ran to her to get a better view. He could see her pale skin and her colorless lips. He placed his finger to her wrist, checking for pulse. There was still some heartbeat—meaning she was alive.

Minho didn’t wait for anyone to rush over to him and the unconscious girl. He quickly dialed the hospital for an ambulance.
